Does anybody think Stipe will actually fight Overeem?

LOL for like 1 minute? Overeem got knocked out by Rothwell who is a far inferior striker to Stipe, sometimes it's just about if you can take a punch or not.
 
Why would he be scared to fight Overeem? Everyone who decided to stand and fight with him wins by KO anyways.
 
Bad omens for Stipe.

Cain loses in Mexico (which I know isn't his hometown but he wanted the fight there) and then Werdum in Brazil. Now Stipe defends in Cleveland. If Reem wins, he'd be a fool to defend in Holland.
 
Anyone on either side of this argument stating that a professional fighter is "scared" is an imbecile and a chump who clearly knows dick all about anything
 
What kind of thread is this OP, fighters get injured all the time and you're going to act like some sort of psychic if stipe pulls out. Good fuckin' job

First of all that was before he made his full transformation into Calcureem. He was still fighting reckless with a bad gameplan. Rothwell is also a completely different fighter and style than Stipe. You can say hes inferior technically all you want but hes a worse matchup for Overeem than Stipe is. Ben is 40lbs heavier, taller and awkward which means hes more unpredictable. Hes also more powerful and durable.
 
Huge Overeem fan here, he's a phenomenal striker but it is a winnable fight for Stipe.

Unless, the smart business man that overeem is, he will have an "injury" too if stipe has one.

I don't like stipe at all but the guy is a fighter & I don't see him being afraid of anybody. I'm sure he thinks his hands + reems chin = an easy win for him. I don't agree with that, and he needs to understand reem can KO his ass at any moment as well, but I don't think he'll pull out.


Calcureem has looked VERY good, fighting much smarter as well. I'll take him via KO
 
Fighters are scared shitless of doing their job.

I don't believe Stipe is "afraid" of Overeem but I do believe that Stipe knows that Overeem is going to beat him and take the belt so he will look to keep it longer by delaying the fight.

I also think that Overeem will win as Stipe doesn't offer that much more than JDS,Nelson or Arlovski. Overeem is just very well rounded.

JDS is better than Stipe on any day as well.
