Just wondering sherbros....The Pence rule thread in the War Room got me thinking.
I gotta be honest, I don't think I ever had an actual women friend, that means,a women that I can just hang out with or talk with about myself or anything in life. All my relationships with women have been either thru work/friends of the girl I was seeing, so acquiescence, or when sex/romance was involved.
I mean, there has been cool females that I talked to at like gathering/parties and shit but we never really became friends.
So it got me thinking...Is this relatively a new modern phenomenon?
I mean before this period...I feel Men/Women being friends didn't happen much....Im not saying, people didn't talk to eachother, but being real true friends between opposite sex probably didn't happen much.
I grew up in a Mexican household...My parents never had exclusive friends of the opposite sex, meaning a friend of the opposite sex that was exclusively a friend to one of my parents only......So I feel this being friends with the opposite sex is not really part of my culture.
I mean I could just imagine bringing a girl to my room, who was my friend in middle school/high school......My parents would be highly skeptical lol....My mom definitely would lol
So IDK sherbros, em I weird as fuck, or is this actually common? Also how does this compare to American households? Did your mom/dad have exclusive friends of the opposite sex that your mom/dad didn't really interact with?
