Just wondering sherbros....The Pence rule thread in the War Room got me thinking.

I gotta be honest, I don't think I ever had an actual women friend, that means,a women that I can just hang out with or talk with about myself or anything in life. All my relationships with women have been either thru work/friends of the girl I was seeing, so acquiescence, or when sex/romance was involved.

I mean, there has been cool females that I talked to at like gathering/parties and shit but we never really became friends.

So it got me thinking...Is this relatively a new modern phenomenon?

I mean before this period...I feel Men/Women being friends didn't happen much....Im not saying, people didn't talk to eachother, but being real true friends between opposite sex probably didn't happen much.

I grew up in a Mexican household...My parents never had exclusive friends of the opposite sex, meaning a friend of the opposite sex that was exclusively a friend to one of my parents only......So I feel this being friends with the opposite sex is not really part of my culture.

I mean I could just imagine bringing a girl to my room, who was my friend in middle school/high school......My parents would be highly skeptical lol....My mom definitely would lol

So IDK sherbros, em I weird as fuck, or is this actually common? Also how does this compare to American households? Did your mom/dad have exclusive friends of the opposite sex that your mom/dad didn't really interact with?

I have several female friends. Mostly through LARPing and school.

Its BS females say so they can feel less bad about spending time with dudes that want to bang their brains out

Sure - why not?

My former boss is a good friend. Took my family to Europe and we stayed with her and her husband. Great people.

Naw..your normal.

“Guys whith women best friends are just guys waiting for a chance to fuck, or there gay.”

Not saying there’s anything wrong with either but a normal guy won’t have anything in common with a women unless he’s really into his feminine side I guess.

Maybe has something to do with the pussified guys nowadays..

I view men with women friends like ducky and molly ringwald from that 80s movie... dude wants her, loves her but too much of a bitch to say anything so he plays the only role he can.

WTF I just read a post right now.......and it got deleted lol....Some guy with a mueller X-Files avatar...Weird.

@Agent Mulder's Hair , How you do that? and why did you do that?

Oooo shit, I just noticed, there is a delete button...WTF I never knew.

I guess I've had a couple.

One at uni was unattractive enough to not be in the women category.

I got a fellow parent that I chill with, our families are friends but sometimes when I'm the care giver we'll meet up at play centres etc to have coffee. I've kinda got her into lifting, doing squats etc, it's made her quite fit which is awkward now because would totally bang.

In general I think that opposite sex friendships are situations where one wants to bang the other and the other likes the attention but no more.

Yes, I don't see why not. After all not all women are physically attractive to you.

Unless you've such low standards that you'd bang ANY woman.

I find the majority of them are boring as sin therefore i don't make any effort to befriend them. That's not to say i wouldn't ever have a girl as a friend, though.

Yeah, I've got some good female friends from work that I hang out with often. I've always enjoyed the company of women - and not just romantically/sexually. My core group of friends are 4 sweaty guys, but I've got around 4-6 women that I see socially from time to time too.

Back when I met my wife, I actually had to give up two good female friends whom I had had casual sex with before I met her. It just got too complicated.

My best friend is a woman. My second best friend is a woman. My third best friend is a woman.

Yes but I wouldn’t mind sleeping with them.

I have one female friend, but her mindset is like a guy's.

Or vice versa. Female to male..

Maybe I’m just warped cause I grew up in a different generation. I am cool with women but for the most part...what the hell would I have in common with a women in a social level aside from fucking and sexual attraction.

Recipes? Child raising skills? Dating tips?
Lol..

Yes. But in my experience, they're terrible friends. Close friends, that is.

Depends rather on your interests of course, I mean in terms of very casual acquiescence's male ones do obviously have the advantage you can go to topics like sports that pretty much everyone is going to have some opinion of. Certainly though I know plenty of women who share interests in things like travel, film, music and art generally although the later ones perhaps partly the product of the environment I work in selling my photography, other artists/crafts people who are probably 2/3rds women.

It's nice to have a female to talk to sometimes since us guys are all underlying morons.
