Does anybody else not care about comic book movies?

Forgot about him. Cheadle is better though.

I've ignored them all except for Batman Begins and TDK, which I didn't like

I'd be all over a Blade reboot or new Spawn movie though. I do want to see that Judge Dredd flick as well

Batman is the most powerful character in all of comic book movies

He carries the entire DC Universe on his shoulders

I'm completely sick of the Marvel universe. It's just the same shit over and over. I thought the last Avengers was terrible. I'd say the DCU isn't any better, but I did enjoy Wonder Woman way more than I thought I would.

That said they make money and people like them so it is what it is.

I’ve not got caught up in the comic book movie craze either. The last one I saw in the theater was Dead Pool (2016), which I was lukewarm about, and before that was The Dark Knight Rises (2012), which I also found to be just okay.

If I’m bored enough, I might watch one that’s on Netflix or HBO, but it’s rare. They’re just not my cup of tea. I was never really into comics either, so that might have something to do with it.

I've been waiting for decent looking comic movies since I was a little kid. Not a movie buff either, so I'm all for them. Dat razzle dazzle

I hear this more and more, and it just seems like a silly complaint from old people. What is a "comic book movie"? People say 'comic book movie' as if they all are the same.
The Captain America movies, Deadpool, Man of Steel, Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dark Knight, Antman....all these movies are quite different from one another.

And why does it being based off of a comic bother people? If Guardians wasn't based on a comic and was just a new Scifi movie, would that make it better?
If Captain America was just a Jason Bourne style movie and not a comic, would that be better? I don't get why the comic book label is such a big deal. There is plenty of variety in these movies

I don't care about them very much in general. I love Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, though.

While the plots can be different they all share the same premise in that they are all movies based around fictional super heroes that have (besides batman) super human powers. You can church it up all you want, but they are still comic book movies. I'm not saying that they're bad either, I just don't get hyped for them.

I do however find that a lot of the movies that are based off of graphic novels can fit into a different genre. Movies like 300, Unbreakable, A History of Violence, Sin City, V for Vendetta etc... seem to throw off a different vibe.

Such movies either need 1) super hot chicks in superhero outfits or 2) the Hulk for me

1980?

Fookin millenial.....

Lol... I know. Some people that were born in the 80's will get pissed or flat out deny that fact that they are Millennial's. I actually read a good article titled, "The Oregon Trail Generation: Life Before and After Mainstream Tech," that does a good job describing the generation of people born in the late 70's and early 80's. Here it is if you're interested...

I stopped watching after Iron man.

I think I've read the same article - as a 78'er I am on the cusp (cuthp?) of being a millenial myself.

I've never read a comic book in my entire life. I grew up in the 80's but I was to busy playing sports and riding dirt-bikes and horses. I do like some comic book movies and shows but I will admit it's out freaking control these days. It blows my mind so many people are obsessed with super natural powers etc...
