JBG would approve of this fight. That being said I see Gaethje's style working wonders on Pettis, and I don't see him changing his fighting style ever.

The issue's not really his camp, the issue is that he doesn't want a long career and only wants to put on barnburners without wrestling. He says he only wants to have another 5 fights or so - and his camp also have done wonders with Thug Rose

" Groovy" is a guy that Justin can handle and if I were handling business for WME, this is a fight Im booking on a summer slot.....maybe even a swing fight on a ppv or a co main on Fox 1

UFC should keep Gaethje on Fox he one of the few guaranteed locks to put on the kind of fight casuals want to see. Minimal to no grappling and a ton of damage going both ways. However Gaethje's chin can only last for so long. I wish he would use his wrestling FFS, I don't know why he evens trains it. He clearly had no intention of using it even when rocked. But that's what makes him such a fan favorite.

His longevity as a solid ranked fighter will suffer, however. He has a skill set that should set him up to succeed and thats not what's happening and it needs to be addressed otherwise his demise will parallel that of a Diego Sanchez.He has wrestling chops and is tough as nails - its time to pArlay that into a few wins otherwise he'll lose the number next to his name and in today's ufc 155 division- it'll be hard to get back......and the structure of the top 20 at 155 encompasses no easy fights.
