While he has on occasion referred to himself as such I dont feel like there is that hype behind him. Even around here there are hardly any threads for Stipe. Which if he really had that title like when Tyson had it, he would be the most talked about fighter around here. Maybe its cause of his two losses and that they sort of take away from the aura of invincibility that undefeated fighters have. Still he is 18-2 as a heavyweight UFC fighter and has not lost in over 4 years. That is rare in the heavies of MMA. Another contributing factor may be his physique, he definitely is a big dude but he dosent have that Ubereem, Francis or Brock body that is just intimidating to look at. Him being a soft spoken and well mannered guy who clowns around all the time is also not something you would associate with the baddest man on the planet. It probably is a combination of all the above but do you view him as the baddest man on the planet? At 35 years old does he even have enough fights left in him to ever really get recognized by the masses as such. Plus now with Joshua and Wilder rejuvenating the boxing heavies is it at all possible, since traditionally that sports heavyweight champ held those honors.

Didn’t read

But yes, toss up between him and Anthony Joshua

Depends on the sport

Yes.
I’d favor him over anyone at this point

Does matter what peoples 'VIEWS' are. He is the baddest man on the planet. Not another man on the planet can beat him in a fight right now, so until they do: He is.

Joshua's not even in the top 20 baddest men on the planet. He might be the baddest boxer, but when that's all you have - There are plenty of guys who would maul him.

If he beats DC, I think he beats any man in the world* in a fight, and therefore yes, he is the baddest man alive.

*any man not named Jon Jones

I don't, and I have no reasons why.
But ill consider DC the baddest man on the planet if he wins against him.

I'd favor Jon Jones in a fight, assuming Jones would look as good as he has looked until now. Which, of course, he might well not since he was juicing for God knows how long.

I also think Cormier will beat Stipe. I think if Cain comes back in top form, he is the best HW in the UFC imo. Minakov, I suspect, could be just better than anyone else, but we won't find out for the moment.

So, it's either Cormier, Jones, Cain, or Minakov.

You'd need to define "baddest" before I could comment one way or the other.
He'll never be "the world's most dangerous man" anyway.

He is currently the baddest man on the planet, and I have him beating Daniel Cormier at 226. Bank on it.

in a real fight he'd beat them all more often than not. Real fights almost always start in striking range, and you don't have mouth pieces or gloves. So the odds are Joshua ends it in an instant, he punches too fast and hard.

In MMA where you start across the cage he'd be in trouble.

Yes. Stipe is ridiculously impressive and usually wins in brutal fashion. Then again what champion actually was getting truly promoted aside from Conor for the last 2 years? Just another WME fuck up but not seeing how marketable Stipe is.

I think of him as the nicest baddest man on the planet, does that count?

What is a real fight? In a real fight I could shoot someone. I win. This whole 'real fight' talk is just nonsense.

He's an inferior fighter to everyone in MMA. He has one skillset. Until he develops other attributes, he's not even remotely close to the baddest man on the planet.

he can punch faster than you can shoot. That's the point.
