My question is basically the title, do you wear a thicker mouthguard for sparring while wearing a thinner one while rolling?

Nope. I spent money on a custom-made mouthguard for sparring, I feel it's the best option for any type of activity requiring teeth protection

Yes, if I bother wearing one for grappling at all.

I do wear a different one for pads and sparring though, just to try to prolong the life of my favourite mouthguard (I can't get another on, it's a Protech for all the G&E vets out there).

Before anyone asks, I wear one for padwork just to I'm reminded that I will be wearing one.

Negative. I just have an Everlast mouthguard with the double opening because I have a terrible problem with breathing through my mouth and it prevents me from opening my mouth and getting cracked in the jaw.

Only if you do really hard sparring and feel you need it. Go Gladiator guards.
