Generally I don’t disagree with you.The only way they keep him is if he caves. Dana will never budge, if they give in to Ngannou every single champ who's coming up on an expiring contract will think they can take the UFC to the wood shed. Horrible precedent to set from the UFC's perspective.
But that’s ignoring half my statement. I don’t think Ngannou and CAA are just playing hardball, but they could be. And if they are and Dana meets em halfway, this thing ends amicably.

I mean c’mon. Let’s talk about what we don’t know. For a year Ngannou has been hinting that he might just leave after this fight, and we all mocked him for it. It took a fucking BE reported to show us that yes, in fact, it’s quite likely he can leave in a year.
