Do you think that Jones vs. Cormier 2 is a better main event than McGregor vs. Diaz 2 for UFC 200?

Which main event would have been better to headline UFC 200?

A rematch of a short notice fight that was done simply for fun is a little too much spectacle for me. The pound for pound #1 fighter battling it out with the de facto #2 fighter in his division in a rematching of his toughest test (or Gustafsson) is everything UFC 200 ought to be.

I'm actually hyped for DC vs Jones II

I don't care much for McGregor vs Nate II. It just doesn't interest me! Now if he were to fight Edgar or Aldo(again), then I would be feeling da hype

Of course Diaz vs McGregor would be better.
No one cares about Cormier vs Jones.
But it is what it is.
The poll suggests that you're hilariously wrong. As do I.

On a semi-related note, is this idea for a poster design the worst yet?

I cringe a little bit every time I see it

If Jones thinks he can just go in the cage and just cruise as you put it, as a Jones fan he will lose! DC can fight and owns a good fight IQ I don't need jaw crushing KO's or slick submissions to enjoy a technical fight where each guy knows this man can take me out with a mistake. Like Conor resorting to panic wrestling the 1st time he gets rocked.

Jones isn't dumb enough to think he can cruise past DC. He didn't the first time and whatever he thinks about DC I'm sure he respects his ability. DC maybe the 2nd best lhw of all time.

I think it's better and far more relevant. However, in a perfect world we'd have had both of these fights.

Better main event by far, but using the same face paint marketing isn't a good way to make people forget it was a replacement fight

I would say this : Compare to Conor losing to Nate again, DC lost to JBJ will hurt so much greater than the previous possibility.... will DC walk away??

he moves back up to HW so he can eat his Popeye's again.

diff types - conor brought the hype and that first fight was real exciting, its untouchable in a way bc of that

jones / cormier is one of the best fights you can put together on paper - hard to say, ufc def did the best they could to replace

Conor vs. Nate would have sold better and attracted more media attention.

Jones vs. Cormier is certainly more important for the legacy of the LHW division and Jon's very real chance to be the greatest of all time.

Now we have nothing.
