Do I consider him GOAT?
- Fuck no

Do I consider him LW GOAT?
- No. He didn't fight a lot of guys, mainly people that were a stylistic threat. Prime Tony, Charles, Nate, Kevin Lee and in newer times Chandler. That's 5 people that were available to him, 2 of them still are. Nate and Tony are done, Kevin is almost done.

Do I think he could've become LW GOAT?
- He was almost there. He is one of the best LWs in UFC history. He didn't need much, I'd be content with any 2 of the 5 I listed. But Dustin, Justin and Conor do not make a GOAT. Especially not Dustin and Justin. Right now I can't say that there is a LW GOAT at all. Used to be BJ, Khabib looked like he'd beat his resume, but didn't. And now it's a stalemate.

Do I think he should've retired?
- That was his to decide. He had a family tragedy, his choice how he handles it.

I don't deal in hypotheticals, lots of people say he would've beat this guys, smashed that guy, whatever. Bottom line is he didn't. When someone is a worldbeater in one fight and then fights to a decision vs the Horschers and Iaquntas of the UFC, it's safe to say that we don't fucking know. For all I know Nate Diaz might have out cardio'd him and subbed hit. We don't know.

What's a "tough stylistic match"? He fought top strikers, D1 and olympic caliber wrestlers, 4 or 5 BJJ black belts. We're kind of running out of styles here.
Don't make me laugh with that meaningless little laundry list. "D1 and Olympic caliber wrestlers" ROFL

Anyone with a decent fund of MMA knowledge knows what a tough stylistic matchup is, and that Khabib never faced one. I'm not going to debate silly tit for tats with someone trying to justify the idea that Khabib had a world-beater MMA resume- he didn't. He was impresasive while he lasted, but he didn't last nearly long enough to compare with other GOAT candidates who fought long enough to engage tough stylistic matchups.

Khabib made the right decision in retiring on top as champion and better than everyone else at his weight class. I just wish selfishly he was still fighting I always enjoyed watching his fights.

So no answer on what is a "tough stylistic match"? There's a big surprise.

You obviously don't have a "decent fund of MMA knowledge" to know what you're talking about, and are just one of these clowns who needs to invent a hypothetical fighter who's an olympic gold wrestler, won ADCC a bunch of times, world champ boxer and lumpini champion all in 1 to claim Khabib managed to avoid this fighter that doesn't even exist.

There is no "tough stylistic match" if he's already ragdolled someone from every style. Conor was going to KO him, then Poirier's black belt was going nullify his ground game and KO him on the feet, then Gaethje was going to stuff all his TDs and chop his legs out and KO him, but instead he finished each of them even quicker than the one before them.

Yes. He did what he wanted to do n the sport minus the GSP fight. He made the choice that was best for him and his family. He shouldn’t even consider what the fans want or think of him because they will never be satisfied until he’s way past his prime with multiple KO losses.

yup. fraidy khabby got out with his 0 padded record just in time.
29-0 with wins over some of the best and most dangerous fighters in the world and a moron like you calls him afraid. This is way I say he shouldn’t give a shit what the fans think about his decision

He's loaded so yes. F this peanut salary bum sport.

Should have moved up fought Colby and Usman then retired could have actually created a legacy, instead he's the guy who almost died cutting weight who beat 2 year layoff Conor
USMAN yes... Colby is a nobody with zero top 10 wins

I remember his father saying that his dream fight for Khabib would be GSP, and that it should happen as his last fight. That would’ve been so sick, a literal GOAT matchup, fuck the BMF belt give me the GOAT belt. We can never get good things in MMA eh.

He isn't obligated to keep fighting. He made enough to move forward in life. His claim to being the GOAT is quite thin though.

Total casual, huh? Study the sport and learn my friend.

Yeah. If he had a loss his mouth breathing nut huggers wouldn't be able to try to inject him into the GOAT debate since over half of his career was outside the UFC.

Albeit, most Khabib fans are fine.

No, he only just became champ and only just started to fight opponents of any note and worth. He only just had turned 32, he had many more years left and so many title defenses to make. Its a shame. I do think he would have reigned for many years to come BTW. He is a very young 32 as well because he barely took any flush shots in his career, he ain't worn at all

Yea move down to beat a Manlet, makes sense. Usman and Colby aren't the ones bragging about beating LHWs in practice
If he's a manlet, why exactly should he move up? I thought the argument was that he was just to big to be a LW? Now he's merely a manlet. Good one!

I think it's time to be over this. Move on to current events

He should retire when he wants to, but it would have helped his legacy considerably if he didn't retire, IMO

Deronn Winn is a Manlet bud, doesn't matter
