He was a genetic freak and the most dominant athlete ever, but do you think he could have been successful in mma?
 
Of course, he would. I would not be surprised if he was second to the Great Fedor.
 
Probably so. His record 887-2 is incredible. Plus throwing HWs around like a rag doll.

Maybe he would have gotten caught by submissions but most likely would have been a standout in MMA especially since he would have competed in the early days.
 
Karelin would have been an absolute destroyer in MMA. Anyone who says otherwise is out of his mind.
 
Actually he had kind of mma fight with Maeda in 1999. He won used only his wrestling.
 
His RINGS fight is considered a MMA bout.

But yeah. Yeah. Dude was a monster of monsters.

He wouldn't have lost at least one of those matches if not for the rule change.
The man would have been a phenom in mma if he had the desire.
