Do you think JDS should have used same tactic vs Reem?

He was too agressive vs dangerous striker. Patience will be key next time.

I thought he was too tentative in the Overeem fight. If he had let his hands go more he could have probably had better succcess.

It doesn't work that way. JDS was the one chasing on that fight. Alistair was very patient and cautious until the moment that caught JDS.

He had to be agressive against Reem because he was losing the fight. As a JDS fan, I was very happy with his performance yesterday: scoring points instead of just headhunting, not allowing himself to get cornered. But I'm not sure if it would be enough against Econoreem. I think Reem's is a more complete striker and fighting smart the way he did in his last fights, it's hard to dominate him standing.

Not really. The reem "modus operandi" is quite different from Rothwell's.

He just looked mentally broken vs Overeem. If he has sorted that out then he can beat him. He looked like Cro Cop.

What's the same tactic? Pot shots to the body? The reason JDS was able to do that to rothwell was because Rothwell hung out in punching range, which is the range where JDS excels. Overeem stuck so far out of range that Junior couldn't reach him without taking an extra step, and Junior has never been one to swarm a threat who is out of range. He'll wait until they come in and try to hit him, which is how he KO'd Gonzaga. Overeem fought a slow, dull fight to perfection, and it capitalized on one of Junior's best tendencies as a heavyweight - Patience.

He should have tried engaging Overeem, he just circled around for 8 minutes until he got punched in the face

JDS needed to touch Reem with teh jab and stop chasing Reem. He seemed to get mindfucked that Reem wasn't coming straight at him and so he was just plodding forward getting countered

You and the others butthurts can not recognize the superiority of Oveerem in this fight..

You mean the same tactic he used against a fat, immobile, mediocre stand up game Big Ben?

Reem picked him apart from a distance and waited for his chance, didn't stand there and take shots like Rothwell.

You are right. I think JDS is superior. Reem fought the worst version of JDS ever.

JDS is a boxer and just couldn't get inside EconoREEMs range.

Reem is probably the greatest HW striker.

He's dangerous with kicks, punches, Knees and either had.

His striking and setups are superior. You really have to sit back and analyze what he is truly doing.

Reem literally confuses the hell out of people with his foot work, changing stances and fakes, walking them into bombs. He rarely shows his cards by throwing random or forced punches.

He's beyond accurate with power.

JDS was takien out with precision in a gentlemen's game of human chicken my friend.

Reem actually works angles, Rothwell just switches stances. He looked like a spinning heavy bag that JDS was putting some work in on.
