I got vaccinated as did my parents.
I also adamantly opposed a mandatory vaccination.
My father, who took the AZ vaccine developed TTS and had a stroke days after receiving the vaccine. Previously a picture of health. Didn't drink or smoke, pescatarian, competitive senior tennis player, active volunteer fire fighter. The AZ vaccine was withdrawn years later for higher than acceptable TTS side effects.
The outpouring of vitriol I received for asking questions about what happened to my father has permanently scarred my view of many leftist supporters.
I was told we both deserved to die for being anti Vax, despite us both being vaccinated, that they hoped he died in painful ways and thst I would die in similar painful ways In front of my kids and wife, that my mother would be better off without a conspiracy theorist as a husband etc.
My father can no longer play competive tennis. He can no longer contribute in the field for the fire brigade. He has permanently lost some of the sparkle he always had. An early nerd, a radio technician in the military in the 1970s he has always been on the cutting edge of tech. Even in 2020, he would be explaining new technology to younger co workers.
Now, I am explaining it to him. He has recovered some what but he's not the same. I will never forgive the people who discounted my concerns and pushed mandatory vaccinations. I may still have my father without them.
