Do you think Conor will be a long term champion at featherweight?

I think either Frankie, or José will beat him (with the right game plan in the rematch.)

I think it's possible, but it's more likely his psyche is utterly fucked. It's not like he got caught in the Diaz fight with a wicked submission or something, he got exposed in multiple ways. People won't give two fucks about his goofy trash talk anymore. They know this guy is very beatable. His aura being gone is huge.

I still say he wins his first fight back at FW though.

I think he should be decent favorite against both. I don't think he'll be long term champ in that division though as he'll go back to LW

Aldo should just train take-downs at this point.

I'm going with NO, TS.
Edgar is a terrible match up for him after what we saw last saturday. cardio/wrestling/movement favor Edgar in a big way.

I said this already many times, Frankie will be champ if they feed him Conor, Aldo can win a rematch at this point. Holloway is creeping up in the division with solid work and Conor can't stay on the Salads either way so he goes to 155. At 155 he's no champ.

These posts would make more sense if Conor was sporting an undefeated record before Nate...

I like Conor. He is entertaining, colorful and I am happy he beat Aldo.

I doubted Conor against all his 4 last opponents, and I was wrong in 3 of them, so I might be wrong again, but I still believe both Aldo and Frankie are better mixed martial artists, and would beat Conor 8/10 times. Conor is a great champ so i hope I am wrong again.

I disagree and will go as far as to say that He loses rematches to Aldo and Holloway. Frankie is going to make this look like Penn/Edgar III.

People brushed off his 2 earlier losses as just being early fights in his career and assumed he'd improved drastically since then, so yeah.

Nope.

His wrestling is horrible and ground game unproven. He will lose his belt to a wrestler.

Cool.

Any 145'r looking at the Nate fight and thinking "oh, OK. this Conor guy ain't what he said he was" is a fool. Period.

I think he beats Frankie and rematches Aldo (though Aldo doesn't deserve it) and then moves up. The weight cut is too much.
He wants to challenge himself.
Not a lot of challenges in FW.

I'm assuming you're being facetious because that's literally exactly what a lot of people related to Conor in one way or another are saying.

At 145, he's the champ. At 155, he's a wanna be champ. At 170, he's a chump.

He has some tough fights but I would guess more because he won't be able to make the cut long long term and will be forced to 155.

A lot of people are morons and no I'm not being facetious at all.

Conor losing that fight just makes him a more dangerous 145 lb champion IMO. Bit of a reality check will have him ready to go more than ever at UFC 200. Bank on it.
