Not talking about him tapping, of course, but when Diaz was coming on.

I was listening to Robin Black of Fight Network and that was his impression, I personally didn't see it. What do you think, putting your hatred or love of Conor aside?

He didn'
He didn't quit, he realized he was defeated.
Big difference.
Either way, he lost soundly.

I don't think he quit. I think he got very discouraged when Nate ate his best shots because no one ever has. And he hit Nate very hard several times. Nate broke him down with volume like Nate tends to do.

I think when he realized his straight left would't put Diaz down... he was in trouble. Someone posted a picture after the fight of McGregor's expression after his best strike landed and you could tell by his expression that there was a reason to be concerned. I don't think he necessarily quit. Nate took his best shot and tagged McGregor with some great combos, hurt him and eventually put him away with the choke.

I think Nate has such good jujitsu it made it seem that way. I think Conor just gassed and Diaz smelled blood. Finishing the fight soon after.

He quit. He didn't even defend the choke. If he knew he was defeated and fought on like so many fighters do, props. He quit.

I think so, he just lacks heart. I mean, he comes from a country that got pwnt by a potato famine.

I think he quit. He admitted panicking, then he became a wrestler, then he basically just gave up his neck. People shit on him for not having BJJ but I refuse to believe a purple belt like Conor would not know basic choke defense.

He went for the take down so he wouldn't get knocked the fuck out

He broke, mentally in that fight.

He was expecting to roll right through Nate, and when he hit him with all he had and Nate was still there, it broke him.

For the folks who think he quit, when do you think it was? Was it him shooting or as the fella bellow says, giving up the choke or before that?

But its pretty hard to defend a choke in that position, no?

I don't think he quit I know he quit and are people still talking about this ?

Sum Bitch let that poor dead horse be dead in peace quit beating on it

conor said at the post fight presser himself

"I was hitting him, but my body was goin into panic mode"

He gassed. So you could say he quit before fight even started. To busy doing silly new age movement instead of tried and true movement real fighters put in. Miles on the track and rounds upon rounds so he could go 10 rounds if needed.

He got chin checked. After that I don't know if he quit or was in lala land and making bad choices. totally subjective.

I think he went for the TD because he knew he'd get subbed shortly after, especially if he gave up his neck - he didnt want to get KO'd and figured this was the preferable way out of the fight once he realized he could not win.

So in a way, yes.

I think he was rocked, but quit? No.
Why didn't he quit and give up his back when Mendes was hitting him with elbows?

I think Conor was in a state of fatigue and panic. He tried to find any way to change the flow of the fight but just didn't have the juice to keep going. Diaz forced him to quit.
