After his appearance on the MMA Hour Ariel Helwani seems really confident that Chael is making his return.

I just don't see it happening, he is 39 years old and haven't fought in a long time, suffering 3 TKO in his last 4 fights, and being off every banned substance on USADA list. I don't think he beats any top 5 in MW, I do think he would beat Vitor though and that fight would make sense. I'm also really suprised nobody else has mentioned that he might actually come back.

What do you think?

He could but there's also a part of me that thinks he's just honeydicking us so he can draw our attention to the other endeavours he has. Isn't he starting up a grappling competition soon?

I've said since he first 'retired' and got the suspension, he'll be back.

He's a name. Too much money on the table.

And he's not making that kind of money podcasting.

He needz to keep his headset on and stay where he is...

The only person I would accept as a replacement for Joe Rogan on colour commentary. Make it happen Dana.

I hope not. There's no reason for him to come back and take more punishment. He's 39 and got out of MMA in relatively good shape.

He could probably fight Wand in Rizin and make a boatload of cash but I imagine he's doing well financially already.

No interest in seeing him or listening to what he has to say.

Not much hope for him to win relevant fights at MW or LHW. Not much point to the drama if you can't back it up with your fist.

It would be fun to see him back on the FOX desk though. Always enjoy watching him talk S and create drama as an analyst.

Hope not. Over rated and only entertaining outside the cage.

Why shouldn't he come back when he is undefeated and undisputed? How many guys can say that?

Vitor v Chael: Book it.

UFC 205: The PED edition

He actually couldn't do that, he's under contract with the UFC and has said he has no interest in the Japanese circuit.

Do they take the purse if the fighter test positive? He might get a last big paycheck fighting Anderson for the last time and call it a day.

He probably wants to return, hype a couple of fights, and win or lose make a million or two. The old attention whore also probably cant stand not being in the spotlight anymore.

chael will step foot in the octagon at least one more time. he's been denying it until recently when he called out GSP. i think he'll take a megafight no matter the opponent. something that would be a giant PPV draw. i could see chael fighting GSP, nick diaz or anderson one more time. all of those fights would be a big draw.
