Do you see Sergey Spivak as future champion material?

I think he needs time to develop and has potential. Problem with HW is that the thunderous KOs and the career-altering beatings (like Hunt-Bigfoot 1, JDS-Carwin) can stop a prospect in his tracks and derail him permanently.

Yeah he does, he's got a fairly unique skillset too for the UFC HW division but his lack of KO power will always be an issue once he's fighting the top guys who have that ability to shut his lights off with one shot.

Highly doubt it, but i've been wrong before. I just don't think any of his positives are particularly strong or developed enough to really climb much higher than top 5-7ish. But that dosen't mean he can't be a great guy to have around and put on cards. Plenty of guys who were never champ material that i've loved to watch over the years and will tune in every time they fight. Not saying Spivak is that kind of guy yet or anything, but like you said he's young and still has room to develop. Just don't think he'll develop quite as much as he needs. HW is shallow yes, but the absolute top 3-5ish will usually always force you to be a very potent fighter to be amongst them.

Beating Greg Hardy isn't really all that impressive imo. Hardy was neither talented or entertaining to watch. He absolutely did not belong in the UFc and it was only a matter of time before he'd face someone with actual skill. Not hating on the guy, I genuinely don't care (to a certain degree) that he beat his GF

Nope, he's about 2 steps above average, top 10 material. There's too many guys that could beat him on a consistent basis. Guys like Sergei Pavlovich and Aspinall would tear him apart imo, maybe even Marcos de Lima.

As of right now, I agree. But Spivak looks better each time we see him. I think he moved camps a couple fights ago and it has shown in his performances.
