Only 27 years old, dismantled Greg Hardy in a very impressive fashion. Should beat the Black Beast next.

245 lbs, arguably best wrestling in the division. Is he the future champion in a few years?

Nope, he's about 2 steps above average, top 10 material. There's too many guys that could beat him on a consistent basis. Guys like Sergei Pavlovich and Aspinall would tear him apart imo, maybe even Marcos de Lima.

He’ll be a dangerous contender but imo the REAL future champ at HW is Aspinall. He’ll get the strap within 3 fights after coming back.

Think he will be one notch below the elite but he's very underrated.

Not at all, but he's better than I thought he was. I think Lewis skulls him though. I do enjoy his trips / takedown game.

Nah not really.

Sergei Pavlovich is more of a prospect imo despite the Overeem loss of course.

De Lima got forearm choked like 2 years ago, and has pretty poor TD defense. Doesn't have much for Spivak, IMO.

As far as Spivak himself goes, he has pretty high ceiling due to being HW that's actually both young and has legit offensive grappling.

Championship level is probably beyond him, though. Hard to imagine his beating someone like Ngannou or Gane. Depends if Aspinall fight was just a bad day at work, due to very short notice or not, I think.

He struggled so badly with the size and speed of Aspinall that I can't see him ever being the best in the UFC heavyweight division.

I think he beats Lewis, I'm going GnP rather than a sub (you can't sub Lewis easily), and his wrestling/grappling beats the majority of the UFC's heavyweights - but he's going to need to avoid the mobile monsters in the division.

If he can get a title shot WITHOUT facing Aspinall/Pavlovich/Gane, then he could technically win the belt - but those three run through him.

He probably doesn't need to fight Francis given it feels Ngannou is at the end of his career, and he MIGHT just beat Tai Tuivasa.

Curtis Blaydes is another who gives him massive problems, though.

Can see him cracking the top 5, but getting to the belt seems too low percentage.

I think he sticks around in the top 10 for a long time, likely winning more than losing, but I don't think he ever gets a title shot. Solid fighter though, that will test and beat a lot of guys with his wrestling.

Not sure he gets to the strap but I'm a fan of his and think he's a tough out for anyone.

Gane and Aspinall (again) probably, but Pavlovich is the one I'm not too convinced about. Doesn't actually seem mobile, gets hit quite a lot, especially by kicks, and his grappling didn't get tested since Ancientreem easily besmirched him in that department. He is impressive puncher for sure, though.

Duno if MIGHT in caps means you're being facetious....

With that loss against Tom Aspinhall i do not think so.

However he might be able to do well tonight. I would gladly see hon fighting Marcin
Tybura if he will win.

No he's mid. HW division is full of too many mid fighters rn

Yes because Spivak is young (27) and big (254) and - most importantly - has really improved his wrestling game. Seems to be getting better all the time. Outside of Blaydes there are no real great wrestlers at heavyweight (Jones and Stipe are solid wrestlers but they are both old and inactive). I do question his chin but he can alleviate that kind of like Bader did. In fact, that is who I would compare him to. Spivak will likely get a belt and defend it a few times though will never be a true dominant champ like Jones.

Blaydes is the future hw champ

spivaks underrated but will always be just outside the top 5
