Do you rank Khabib over GSP?

I think Khabib could have surpassed GSP but he retired too early.

I don’t know man.

They’re both in a growing but still small group of guys who were the best of the best.

Debating these is tiresome. Depends on what you value in a champion.

Why would anybody... He barley has any ufc fights. Finishes ... Or shit. 14 ufc fights... 3 or 4 title defences.... In 4 years....

Khabib hasnt accomplished jack to be above any legend he shoulda kept winning fights or challanged ww..

Hell no, how many times has Khabib defended his belt...

fuck. no.
This.

GSP was a multifaceted fighter. Started as a striker, became such a good wrestler that he was put wrestling all Americans. Khabib was one dimensional.

No.

GSP had all but six fights in the UFC and was fighting the best the entire time.

No. Khabib is quite onedimensional, and never showed how he would do vs someone that outsizes him. GSP fought better opponents.

No. He'd need to do a a lot more.

Yes.

As we are all talking "woulda, coulda, shoulda" I think Khabib / GSP same age, same weight class, same time frame and Khabib would have been the man.

On a level field Khabib is more naturally gifted than GSP who acquired his skills through serious applications of training and technique.

In short I think Khabib was born to fight with or without Nap.

Nope...............Khabib is about 3 to 4 more top matches away from even being considered.

You do realize in Dag. wrestling is like the only thing from a very young age still to this day. Khabib has done a shit ton of training one way or the other.

I'm more impressed that someone like GSP who had really no wrestling training until his early 20's more or less has become very efficient with it. If he was doing wrestling from day one he'd probably be an olympian and beyond in that sport.

Tough question to answer. If he stuck around and defended that belt more, yes, I think he’s better and more dominant.

But what he’s done so far as champion is not on GSP’s level. Every guy who Khabib fights, is going to be the guy to beat him, until they get dominated. This has only gone on for a few fights, though. GSP did it for period that lasted over 2200 days and consisted of 10 title defenses. Every contender was going to beat GSP, and then they’d lose badly.

I think recently Khabib has been winning more decisively by finishing opponents, but he hasn’t defended enough.
