Demetrious Johnson (aka DJ or Mighty Mouse) has been fighting in ONE Championship the past few years. His last fight in the UFC was against Henry Cejudo on August 4, 2018, where he lost by split decision. Shortly after he was traded for Ben Askren.

Definitely one of the most skilled fighters ever, with the most consecutive title defenses at 11. I feel that if he was in the bigger weight classes, he would have been a pretty huge star. Not many seem to care about the flyweight classes

Have you been keeping up with Mighty Mouse's fights in One Championship? Do you miss watching his fights in the UFC?

I always tuned in whenever he fought.
Being traded for Ben Askren has to be one of the biggest L’s in MMA history, in hindsight.
I guess from a financial perspective, Ben Askren did make Jorge Masvidal become a huge PPV star, who went on to sell 1.3 million with Usman

He's a good fighter but it's hard to take him seriously because of how tiny he is.

i didn’t take him serious because of how shallow the division was during his reign. Watching him
Bounce back from his loss in spectacular fashion finally made me appreciate his skill set. Dude is a complete mixed martial artist.

No, and that doesn't make someone an uneducated MMA fan for feeling that way.

Yes the guy was clearly very good, but his determination not to test himself made for very bland entertainment. Even his fancy finishes were against noobs and nobodies, no disrespect to them, but go down your local BJJ gym if you want to watch a brownbelt helicopter armbar a whitebelt. He could have jumped weight and given us some legendary fights but he stayed in his lane. Askren provided 1000x the entertainment in his short stint than DJ did.

Eventually DJ fought half decent competition at his own weight and lost; now he's off in the steroid leagues and is actually taking entertaining fights so what's there to miss?
