Do you like the Rogan/Goldberg commentary?

Joe is annoying. His commentary is extremely biased and his rants, jabs at the refs, fascination with men's junk is pathetic.

Mike is just fucking worthless. How many years has he been doing this and has learned absolutely nothing?
 
I'd pay an extra $5 if there was an option to turn the commentary off. The sounds of the corner, the crowd, and the combat itself are good enough for me.
 
Frank Mir needs to commentate again for he was one of the best commentators around.
 
Rogan is a BRILLIANT commentator for new/ casual fans. Perfect blend of expertise & enthusiasm.

But I understand why he irritates some people on here. Stupid to consider replacing him regardless
 
Not really, but it could be way worse.
 
I think they are ok. They can do better, but I am fine if they stay on.

I think Rogan isn't great at analyzing striking. Anyone who throws more then one strike consecutively is an "elite striker". He does a good job with the grappling.

Goldberg is a turd.

I will admit Rogan played a huge role in getting me interested in the sport. I had some pre-conceived notions about MMA being glorified toughman contests, but I would sit and watch re-runs of UFC Unleashed, and the way he would explain things really illustrated how much skill and technique go into everything. That really appealed to me and I was hooked.
 
NOOOO! Rogan is OK but Goldberg absolutely sucks. I wouldn't mind if they kept Rogan, but had him sorta take over Goldberg's role, then bring in a fighter/former fighter as the color commentator/expert. I also wouldn't mind if they just canned them both.

Bringing in Bas would be epic but the UFC doesn't seem to be too friendly with him. I also always thought that Randy Couture was a good analyst when they've had him on but him and the UFC have major beef now over the Fight Master thing.
 
I like Rogan very much and used to like Goldie but lately less and less.
I know many people don't like him but I think Joe and Mauro Ranallo would make a great team.
 
Rogan is fine by me, he has his hits and misses but the guy is funny, smart and knowledgeable. As for Goldberg he says some dumb shit sometimes and doesn't really seem that knowledgeable... but the team is such a staple i wouldn't like to see them go.

It would be fun though if they added a third commentary guy now and then to add variety, they could rotate between Mir, Florian, Bonnar, maybe even Chael.

To be fair, Goldy has learned 3 things in the past 15 or whatever years:

1) Wrestlers don't like to be on their backs

2) The teep is like a jab with your feet

3) Slip and rip!


Back to the OP, Goldy is an idiot and Rogan annoys me. Lately I've been thinking that Rogan would be pretty good doing Goldberg's job and they can bring in KenFlo or Mir to do color. I think that would be interesting and Joe could have someone more knowlegeable than him there to call him out on his bullshit.
 
I think Joe is awesome, but I don't like Goldie that much.

Having said that, I'm slowly coming around to the possibility that Goldie might just be the world's best troll. Nobody can be that bad after like 15 years of MMA commentating.

I also forgot to mention how sick I am of hearing Joe Rogan's opinion about Thai cups. Also sick of his opinion about the gloves every time there's an eye poke. Come to think of it, I'm sick of hearing his opinions about everything during the fights. Not to mention him screaming like a girl when someone gets hurt.
 
Imagine the pairing of Frank Mir and Chael Sonnen.

I'd pay just to see them chat in a room for an hour. Not like you think.
 
For me, more often than not it turns into white noise. I generally listen to it for the humor.
 
It was funny Saturday night when Silva started his antics they were fluffing him "This is why he's so special"....gets KTFO and then it's "Hate to see him go out like that but it's good that it happened so young fighters can see how NOT to fight"...and of course giving Chris no respect.
 
I thought the last UFC was their best show yet. Seriously.
 
I like them.

Bas was a shit commentator tbh. Funny as hell sometimes, but biased, slow, and unprofessional. Also he mumbles a lot. It's like listening to my friends commentate.

I like Florian but most people seem to hate him. Don't get it. He needs to work on his timing a little maybe.
