I think this should have been a one and done film yet its a franchise with the 3rd coming out this year and another 2 or 3 on the way.
I could see 1 or 2 movies max but 5 or 6? Thats way too much.

Is anyone here actually interested in these movies?
I will admit I quite like the first movie especially. I unironically end up really rooting for the aliens and I think the main bad guy is cool. I also like the second enough and will watch the third.

Need to finance James Cameron’s yacht somehow

Nah I can't stand the movies honestly. I stopped the first one towards the end and just never went back.

I thought the first was pretty fun. Nothing mind blowing, but it was a great watch in 3D. No desire to watch the second. I got what I wanted from the franchise.

The first one blew me away with how it looked. I have never had any interest in watching it again.

I hated the second one.

My family loves them. I don't think I can sit through the 3rd one.

The next one is also a guaranteed mega-hit. The fanbase for this franchise is massive.

Not great, not terrible. Story is primitive, visuals are amazing.

Not terrible, but there needs to be a 'meh' option.
Chose liked them, but I've only seen the first.

Nice visuals, but that’s about it.

Like stated above- I’ve never heard anyone mention seeing them, or talk about them so I can’t help but wonder where the billions in ticket sales came from?

They're fine. Visually they're amazing and a fun spectacle, but story is played out. 2nd was par for the course. They felt a bit long. Fun to watch with the kids.

Went with "don't like them" but I've only seen the first one

Figured they were the type of movies that dudes that wear cat ears and a tail wack off to

I like them, looking forward to the 3rd movie this December!

I see them as a spectacle/theme park ride type experience. They aren't high quality cinema but they are absolutely great 3d IMAX action blockbusters.

They're ok. I enjoyed the second one more than the first.

I remember the first being good... never got around to watching the second.

I've never really understood the popularity of these movies. The first one was somewhat understandable given it was the first live action 3D movie using the new technology that started that whole craze, which quickly fizzled out. However, other than the cool visuals, it was very meh, and it certainly doesn't hold up well on the small screen without the sizzle of the 3D effects. After a very long wait, we finally got part 2, which was more or a less a carbon copy of the 1st except taking place on water instead of in the forest. There was no longer the wow factor of the 3D effects, just a rehashed plot using a different setting. Even had the same villain. Now we get part 3, which will involve fire. So, now we've got earth, water, and fire. Let me guess, part 4 will be wind?
