Do you like Jon Jones?

As a person and sportsman I think he's awful (read: a liar, cheater, and clearly troubled). As a fighter he's DAMN good, although not as exciting as he used to be (decline in skills, rise in competition, or both, I'm not sure).
You can complain (reasonably so) about his PEDs and eye-gouging proclivity, but his MMA resume is surreal.

i have never met the guy.
based on some of his past behavior, he is not someone i would want to associate with. he seems to have a degree of sociopathy that does not allow him to admit to himself when he has made a mistake. unchecked ego is a dangerous thing.
he is a phenomenal athlete and an excellent fighter, but he is not someone i would want my kids looking up to when it comes to character.

not really but i acknowledge his greatness
his haters are blinded by hate that they cant really think properly
its as if their brains got malfunctioned
ive seen haters claiming 24 yr old jon jones was a cheater fighting innocent guys before usada
crazy

Yes or no

  • As a person - I dont know him but based on what ive seen or been shown i dont think we'd get along IRL ...not sure if HW Jesus walks Jones is different but i dont hang out with drug users of any kind .. recreational or sports specific and i try to control my surroundings as much as possible and when your out and about with Jones its very much up to him what takes place so i dont tend to hang out with people like that...i aint trying to get killed in a car crash or something...i got kids to see grow up ..

  • As a fighter - I think hes #1 if not 2nd only to GSP as far as fighter IQ easily the most technical/tactical fighter weve ever seen he's able to not only adjust mid fight but sometimes mid round that makes you very dangerous as a fighter and is one of his best weapons and something other fighters should absolutely study him for ..as well as his distance management, if he racks up some more wins at HW he could easily be the GOAT of the heavier divisions in the UFC ( If you count roid cheats) ...me personally i dont count roid cheats and im against PEDs and what erks me the most about the Jones failed tests is the dude probably didn't need it to do what he did career wise ,he's just that vindictive that he takes it just to make sure he's over the top with advantages...and that i dont like or stand for ..

In closing , Jones did okay in my book ..
A worthy fighter to watch but he's far from my favorite

Yes. I have been a fan of his since he brutalized Brandon Vera in 2010. He, along with Justin Gaethje are my favorite, current fighters. Jones has had his problems, and I admit there are some big ones in there, but I don't think he's a horrible person. I got a chance to meet him briefly after a Q&A session in Chicago once, and he shook my hand and took a minute to talk to me. That meant a lot to me, and is a gesture I will never forget. So maybe I'm a little partial, but I am a Jon Jones fan and always will be.

So lucky you get to meet Jones! That would be a dream come true for me
