Do you know anyone who killed someone?

Guy I used to work with hit a guy with his car. He was driving home late with his GF, when a drunk homeless guy stumbled across a four lane street and walked right in front of him.

Cops cleared him at the scene and there wasn't much of an investigation. Super nice kid and it really messed him up. He ended up resigning from an apprenticeship he was in. Last I heard he moved cross country back with his mom and started going to Bible college.

I grew up in the ghetto I knew 4 suspected murderers from gangs. 3 ended up being killed 1 iirc ran to Mexico and was never prosecuted unless dna gets him someday. my old divebar had a lot of military people so they could have killed a lot of people unbeknownst to me.

No but my Dad told me a couple crazy family stories involving 2 of his cousins.

A cousin his age was shot dead by his wife. From my understanding he was leaving her and she wasn't having it. Not sure how long she was in prison but she's out now.

Another cousin was involved in an incident with the police where one cop ended up being shot dead.

He later died trying to escape from prison. He tied a bunch of bedsheets together and tried to climb out of a window. Fell to his death. This was in 1975ish.

I'd heard the story about the cousin who'd been shot many times. He and my dad were close. I only found out about the criminal cousin last summer. I couldn't fucking believe he had a story like that and never told me.

My dad just said "oh, you didn't know about my cousin Lenny?", "umm, NO!". Couldn't believe my dad or any of his brothers never shared that story.

I knew someone who killed the person bullying them by driving a table leg through their face.

I know several and I'm wondering if it's common or not.

1) This kid was good friends with me in 9th grade, we kinda grew apart afterwards (literally and figuratively, he shot up to like 6'5 lol). In any case, some time after high school I found out he killed his dad... they were arguing over money. On another note, he never paid me back my dollar.

2) I lived in an apartment building as a child in (pre-gentrification) Brooklyn. We moved out and many years later found out a guy shot another dude in the lobby... I was relieved we moved out. dodged a bullet there.

3) Yet another guy who went to my high school... who was a few grades older than me. Years later, he ended up shooting an officer and it made national news... the weird thing is, I dreamt about the dude a few weeks before, I spoke about it here on the supernatural thread.

It sounds like I went to some sort of "Dangerous Minds" school, but that's far from the truth. It was a pretty well to do suburban town and ironically enough, I went there on some Fresh Prince of Bellaire escape the hood type crap. This was just coincidental

I know a few. Someone from school, another who is a friend of my brothers, and a soldier. All killed, and none of them is currently locked up.

My college roommate was a spoiled rich kid.
He started a venture capital firm with a friend. They had a disagreement and he was to buy out his partner for a million dollars. Killed the dude instead then proceeded to assume his identity and email his family saying he was on a soul searching trip around the world.

Finally the family hired a private investigator cause shit seemed off. Led to him being arrested at the airport trying to flee the country.

Currently serving life. 2 young kids etc. All down the drain

Very unfortunate. I read under the comments that her husband was a cop too... apparently they have a high rate of DV.

Also, fellow Brooklynite?

yeah he was. I was raised in Brooklyn, NY since from about 4-31 years old. Lived around Atlantic and prospect avenue neighborhood, Sheepshead and Bayridge. These last 8 years I have lived in Indianapolis and the last 5 years in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

I am living near jail so I met a dude who killed his wife and her lover with a kitchen knife 30cm long. He is finishing his 40 years of sentence. He killed them and called a police. Didnt hired a lawyer, or nothing.
Pretty chill dude didnt caused any problems during his jail time. He showed me the paper from court where all his defence was "I was busting my ass on work from 9 to 5, for a very comfortable life. They stole my life so I stole theirs"

I have a sense some first degree murderers are rational and even highly intelligent. A guy I grew up around and was friends with in elementary school became a mass murderer convicted to LWOP at Pelican Bay SHU.

By 4th or 5th grade, he had been in a lot of fights and was acknowledged the best fighter in school, no one wanted to mess with him. He wasn't a bully and in fact stood up for smaller guys being bullied. Was basically a quiet guy who minded his own business but hated being told what to do. I remember playing with him after school when his dad picked him up - he was a Vietnam vet who worked as a mechanic, also a quiet guy who minded his own business.

I lost touch with him because we went to different jr. highs but we crossed paths a few times during HS freshman year. He heard I was trying out for the wrestling team and wanted to show me some tie ups and TD set ups - he said I'd do well because I had a good work ethic and was headed down the right path unlike him. By that time he was running with a rougher crowd. But he made no excuses and seemed almost heroically accountable - he believed people reap what they sow. Later that year I heard from a mutual friend that he'd been stabbed in a gang fight, had to be resuscitated in the ER and was sent to a reform school.

Hadn't thought about him in 20 years but googled him a few years ago out of curiosity. Was surprised how far he'd fallen considering he was basically a nice kid in 4th grade.

My uncle got sentenced to 75 years for killing his wife's lover.

She was like 30 years younger (he was early 50s, her early 20s) so you know it wasn't gonna work out. Anyway, they had two kids and were on the verge of separating. She doesn't come home for several days and when she does, she announces she's taking the kids and her clothes. AND she brings her boyfriend- a much younger, brash dude.

My uncle was waiting for this and shoots the BF at the apartment's doorstep and then kidnaps his wife. There was a police standoff for several hours where he raped her before turning himself in to the cops. Motherfucker could have easily gotten a few decades less but he showed zero remorse during the trial. I think he even said he'd kill his wife if he gets out.

He had prior history at all. Was kind of a dick and talked crazy, but hadn't actually done anything.

Before he got into the drug game he would actually dress like a nerd or someone who would be vulnerable and walk around the hood at night looking for someone to fuck with him for real life experience.

I knew a guy like that, he was a member of the Canadian Olympic judo team. He was a small guy and he'd let people try and intimidate him and pick fights with him at bars, and kick the shit out of them. I don't think he ever seriously hurt anyone. He didn't really have to, he'd been training judo and karate since he was three. When you have that kind of control you basically do what you want, and only do real damage if that's what you want to do.

Yeah an old buddy got hooked on crack and ran over a drug dealer for another drug dealer. They gave him like 15 and he got out in less than 10. Married pretty lady and has normal family life now. Has nice shit-grin in all his FB pics.

This guy we used to party with. Didn't know him too well but he was real chill, laid back, just liked to puff and have some laughs. Nothing hardcore. One night he busted in on a party his ex was at and shot her and her new boyfriend to death. He planned to kill everybody there but lost motivation after he shot the first two. Life in prison.

This kid that went to my high school. Same grade but he was in the special classes. One night he broke into this handicapped guy's house and robbed him. Tied the guy up and he ended up dying. Not sure if that was intentional or not.

Goddamn that is fucking insane.

Goddamn that is fucking insane.

Was blown away man. I could not be convinced. And it's not like he just freaked out one day. He planned that shit. Traveled there and still went through with it.

Don't trust anyone.

I went on a manhunt once. I just got back from Nam. I was hitchhiking through Oregon. Next thing I know there's a bunch of cops chasing after me through the woods! I had to take them all out, it was a bloodbath.

My brother ran a guy over last month with his work vehicle. He was driving a 20 ton truck at 9am and a drunk on a bike cut across the road without looking. He was headed to the liquor store for his fix as soon as it opened. The cops walked into the liquor store and looked at the front door cam and told my brother he was free to go, it wasn't his fault. My bros boss got a hold of the videos just in case and my brother showed me them. It was kind of his fault. Apparently i'm the only one who thought that.

If he had seen the guy he surely could have stopped in time, but the road was underconstruction and forcing him to merge. He was looking over his shoulder until 10 feet from impact. I isolated the footage and slowed it for him. It wasnt gory but the guy died instantly, or at least was instantly unconscious.

This was in LA/OC CA. I don't understand how anyone can ride a bike across an 8 lane road in morning traffic without looking; he must have already been fucked up.

Damn, a lot of stories of unfaithful spouses in this thread. Just a fucked up situation all around. Not do these people get killed, everyone will remember that they died because they were whoring around and that'll be the last memory folks have of you.
