I had always heard that they were fun.
Then I went there and they are really depressed.

They drink a lot, so they are always either hungover or drunk and obnoxious. It can't help with the mood.
They definitely suffer from imperialistic ego-trip.
If you don't pronounce things like a native, they pretend to not understand a thing.

If you want to see a stereotypical Danish person, watch that awful Metallica documentary.
The whole band seem like total dicks, but they seem like angels when compared to Lars.
That shitty drummer.

I just thought they were all a bunch of cheap bastards.

How was the red light districts?

Yes. My cousin married a Dane. He's like 6'3 and blonde. Big dude. Their wedding traditions are entertaining.

I've never been to one.
My guess is that it involves being drunk and talking down to people.

They all grab the groom and cut the toes out of his socks after the ceremony because in old times a married man would have the toes cut out of his socks to show prostitutes and other women he was married. Back when socks were rare.

At the evening do. Every time the bride left the room all the women had to run up and kiss the groom and every time the groom left the room all the males had to run up and kiss the bride. This happened like 6 times.

Any time people tapped their glasses with spoons the bride and groom had to kiss.

Was weird but fun and different.

Ahhh I've witnessed that with the glasses and kissing.
I forget if it was with some Danish bastards.

Yes. A Daneman raped my father and killed my mother.

Also Thames.

I've been to Copenhagen 5 times now. I love the city, specifically the food and drink but the people can be a little dry and stand-offish.

I was recently in Sweden and I laughed with the locals about the subway/metro etiquette.
If you try to rush in to the trains, while people are walking out, the Swedish give you an evil eye.
The Danish people break down and cry about it.

I can't say I've ever done that. It's pretty common courtesy to let people get off the train before you get on in the UK too.

I'm not sure if I ever went there.
I lived for a few months near to a junky/prostitute street.
I forget what it was called. It was near the train station, but I've heard that the whores moved away.

Absolutely.
I was respectful about it, but people brought it up, how the Danes freak out if everything does not go according to plan.

My family has Danish and German ancestry. The shortest male is over 6'.

I'm hopefully going to Noma next year. Flights from San Francisco are cheap as hell.

To be fair, the Danish don't have a patch on the French when it comes to superiority complexes.
