Social Do you have a thousand dollar car payment?

If you buy a used car you aren't getting close to touching 4 percent. In fact, even with good credit, two years ago you're looking at 8 or 9.
True that. I bought the Cayman GTS at about 4% and when the lease ran out recently, refinanced it at around 8%, despite only having 30% left of the original figure, my payments went up

There are people who are impressed by ppl who own fancy cars… I actually feel pity on most folks who drive fancy cars because I know how high their monthly bill must be… lots of those folks live pay cheque to pay cheque with maxed out credit cards

I have a 2020 grand jeep cherokee that I just own. And am buying a 2014 kia Thursday with just cash for 4k. No payments means no interest. That is the way to go. Buy what you can in your means without a loan if that is a thing you can do.

That's more than my mortgage. If you got it like that good for you and what do you drive?

These YouTube shorts are mostly lies. None of these 20 year old salespeople are driving Audis and BMWs like they claim.
Some car sales companies are giving sales managers etc to use company car.
In order to impress clients ofc. And yes, it isn't their property....they just are allowed to use.

Also some wealthy mortgage sales businesses does have luxurous cars...for sales agents to use.
Like if your company is selling expensive villas, flats, real estate for businesses.....then for clients maybe more confidence will be if agent will use expensive car.
Plus car should be clean (!), 0 dirt.
Some % of conservative clients might suspect that if there or here is dirt, then maybe something wrong might be also with papers for mortgage etc...

My advice to anyone... Buy an old pickup in decent shape, patch it up with any work needed and drive it. Will be the best choice you ever make. cheap as hell on insurance, parts and more reliabilty than you can imagine.

You only live once (depending on your position on reincarnation) and can't take your money with you. Some people are really into cars and didn't just buy them to impress others.

They have really gone up in prices, and yes they can be lifesavers
Yeah the wife wanted a 3 row vehicle and I said a minivan because I thought it would be cheaper than an SUV. Turns out they are roughly the same price. But taking price out of the equation I'd still go with the minivan. It is way more comfortable than the SUVs we saw.

Sweet tax deductions also help

That's the main difference between a car enthusiast and someone who just wants to impress people and feel important.

If youre actually into cars.. building, performance, track, etc. you can spend a lot of money on a car because you actually enjoy driving hard and performance.. that's respectable. But the majority of people who drive expensive cars care only about how they're viewed by others driving down the road.

Anyone who just buys them as a dick measuring contest, really needs to get a life. Its kind of sad to be that concerned with what other people think.

You guys should see the prices of new trucks in Canada. It's laughable.

If you aren't putting a nice 20k down payment, you're most certainly paying $1000 or more a month.

Vehicles are becoming so expensive and they keep extending the payment period options. Used to be RARE as fuck to see 72 month options, now they're offering 96 months. LMFAO, 8 years to pay off a vehicle.....for an additional $15k on the sticker price worth of interest.

Awesome.

So just all of you guys have leased cars? Or are you financing your car as if it's a mortgage? Just buy a 10k used car bros.
