I'm amazed at how many people I know have thousand dollar plus car payments. Almost all of them have trucks and none of them are construction workers or use their trucks for their intended use. That's a ton of money to spent on a vehicle that doesn't need to be that expensive.

I had one car payment. It was over $1000.

I have a $1300 a month car payment on a truck, and I am not a construction worker.

Mines about 530 but I pay 1000 a month towards it, that's for my civic si, my truck has been paid of for a couple years.

I got 701 on a 2024 Grand Cherokee . 1000 a month is nuts unless you live rent free.

No, when my 2009 Chevy Colorado dieded 2yrs ago,
I bought a 2017 Chevy Trax for 6k

I always paid cash for my cars and always will.

Mine is under $800. But I just pay $800, should finish making payments like a month or two early then.

I bought a 2005 corolla like 5 years ago for 5 grand and im still driving it. Only has like 130k miles on it.

Same with wifes car. Used crv cash. Ill do it again when i need to

If the S&P500 has an average rate of return of ~10%, why would you pay cash for a car if you can finance it for somewhere between 0 - 4%?

If they can afford it who cares?
My last vehicle purchase was a no money down interest free deal for a Ford Explorer 12 years ago. Still driving it.

Yeah... But it's self drive...

I don’t need to impress anyone that much.
You can have a great car and pay less than 400 dollars. Vehicle prices are ridiculous and depreciation is too.

That's more than my mortgage. If you got it like that good for you and what do you drive?

These YouTube shorts are mostly lies. None of these 20 year old salespeople are driving Audis and BMWs like they claim.

Yea it's crazy. My wife works with a women paying something just under 1k and none of them at that job make that much money. Maybe a bit over 45k. Mine is $400 and it's the most I've ever paid. My wifes car was $290 and it's my old car that I gave her after hers needed a new transmission. She already finished paying it off. Once I owe like 8-10k more left on the car I think I'm just going to pay it off in one lump sum. I think I have 16tk left right now.
