Do you guys think Rumble had...

On paper he had the best chance of any LHW, had the tools to do it. Would need to go in with a sound gameplan and with his head in the right place.

Yeah, shame we got robbed of it by Jones stupidity

If current 320lbs Superheavyweight Rumble catches Jones on the chin he's going to sleep. That said he probably has the gas tank to throw 3 of those punches before he turns into a coward and presents Jones his neck to be RNC'd. I give him a chance of 35.0%

Yes, and it's a shame it never happened.

Yep. I think he coulda have beaten DC if he was a little more confident and didn`t overcommit .

If Jon Jones was the same fighter he was but lacked the Tyson aura that he built up: yea. However, Rumble is a fucking headcase and would have been beat before he entered the cage, just like Ronda and Spider did during their epic run. If you could take DC's mental toughness and put it in Rumble's body, it would be the greatest fighter ever. From his problems outside the cage, to the missing weight, to bizarre game plans at times, to breaking at the first sign of adversity, Rumble is a weak minded fighter and you can not have any weakness when facing Jones.

Maybe. Rumble really shit the bed in that second Cormier fight.

honestly nah, he became the sherdog super hero for a while tho cuz he was the next great hope to dethrone Jones. Rumbles a beast and was one of my favorite fighters i think he'd have his moments but Bones keeps him at range pics him apart eventually wins by decision or sub

He has a thing for BBW

yeah. all it would take is one punch to land.

Puncher's chance. He's weak mentally so he'd have to catch Jones early or get picked apart and likely molested on the ground.

I thought out of all the 205 guys, he had the best chance.

I actually would have called that 50/50. I'm very disappointed that never happened. Styles make fights and I think Rumble clips him early. Jones had a solid chin, but not many recover from his cannon blasts in time.

Not really, take away his punch (which admittedly is one hell of a weapon) & he had very little else, plus he always fell apart mentally whenever under real pressure. Jones picks him off at range until Rumble starts to crumble & then finishes him on the floor either with strikes or Rumble offers his neck to be choked out.
