My wife insists on never using q-tips and yet she has to go to the doctors a few times every year to have her ear flushed. I use Q-Tips and my ears have never had any issues ever.
My favorite is the informercial with the vaccuum ear wax remover where they show how deadly q-tips can be when a guy stabs his ear and screams OWWWWWWWWWWW

At Walmart, I saw this ear wax removal box set where the box said look inside your ear, so maybe it came with otoscope for $34 or so.

Peroxide and elephant spray bottle. I get the gnarliest earwax of any human on earth and it's a constant battle. Qtips get some but shove the rest in deeper and that eventually will become a disaster that takes a lot of work to get out of there and isn't a lot of fun at all.

Also sleeping with earplugs seems like a completely insane thing to do from my perspective

All it takes to get it out is hot water.

Yeah if you shove it in deep with a qtip eventually it will plug up and you will need a hot water spray bottle blasting to get it out. But if you just have hot baths and dunk your head and ears for a minute regularly, it will all loosen up the excess and flow out

This thing will take care of any ear wax issues you may ever encounter. Be careful, some sensitive shit in there though. Ear is underrated, overshadowed by eye and mouth. The engineering in the ear is mindblowing.

Haven't been digging out earwax as often as before. Did some yesterday and the wax squished together was almost same volume as a grain of rice. Satisfying sensation almost like after trimming toe nails. What's weird is maybe R ear usually has more wax than L ear.
