Do you agree with Joe Rogan that Brock Lesnar could have been the GOAT?

Basically Joe Rogan is of the belief that if Brock had come into MMA at an early age (early 20s like Jon Jones), learned proper striking and built up learning how to fight in MMA by taking on some low, key fights first before joining the UFC that he could have been the G.O.A.T.

UFC Heavyweight GOAT?

I mean in his early 20's.... He would have been fighting the Ricco Rodriguez , Tim Sylvia , Arlovski , Gan Mcgee , Paul Buentello of the world... So probably.

I think Tom Aspinall has the potential to end this conversation.

I'm excited to see how his career plays out.

he could have done way better even when he came in at the same age he did by not being stubborn and going to an actual elite gym instead of building a mcdojo in his garage with iron sharpens iron elite training partners such as .. Chris Tuchscherer. Diverticulitis massively diminished brock too.

Brock took the ronda route where he had to be the best 1 in the gym so she only had jobber training buddies. Nobody was there to push her. Her ego wouldn't allow anybody better than her in the gym. Brock did the same thing by surrounding himself with cans in his training. God forbid he has somebody in camp 1 upping him

Goat may be a stretch but he would have been much greater

Dude was an accomplished wrestler, but it's crazy jumping into the deep end like he did. How many others have been as successful?

That was a bad man that smashed mir to pieces at ufc 100

He had great potential. Had he started training MMA right after college and not when he was almost 30, who knows what he could have achieved.

Could have been better accustomed to taking shots.

That’s really impossible to say.. He didn’t seem particularly predisposed or coordinated for striking but who knows if had he started early enough.. I will say he certainly had all the physical attributes, strength, power, decent stamina for his size, and an amazing chin

the guy is a freak athlete. probably the highest caliber of athlete we have seen in mma. he won the title in his third or foruth pro mma fight. had he started at gsps age or right after college he would have been a hw gsp. dana would have been confident in sending him to pride to destroy fedor.

hopefully we can get guy like this in again in mma one day. but there are so many avenues to $ to physically talented people these days which are less painful so who knows.

He actually did an MMA session after college (it’s in his book) but ended up going to WWE then. If he stuck with it and learnt some half decent striking (and sparring to get used to getting hit), yeah he could have been anything.

Brock had insane athleticism, size, and wrestling skills. If he started younger and really took time to build his striking and fight IQ, he could’ve been a serious problem for a long time

No. By Rogan’s logic, technically, any A level athlete is GOAT material. You could replace Brock and say LeBron, Megatron, Ronaldo etc could’ve been the GOAT.

Rogan's mind got more goats than western canada. Its always day before christmas. Gnome with big dreams. He is chocolate factory version of conor mcwrecker.

Yes...if you remove cons and add pros fighter would do better. That is how motherfucker works. Its not great science.

If Brock has started training MMA as a teenager and made his debut in his early 20s then he would have been incredible, no doubt about it.

No because he would have never been committed to it. In another world where he never was famous maybe. Obviously he had the tools but never took it seriously. Never trained outside his house never really cared. He showed how low level mma athletes are though

I will admit if they booked Brock vs jon or tom tomorrow id still be pumped though. He definitely made the hw division more interesting
