Do u guys think the UFC wants more guys to be like Conor or not?

If you lack charisma it’s pretty rough to be on Conor level popularity wise no matter what kinda stupid shit you pull, and having a nation behind you helps. Usman is good example on how being very blunt personality wise can affect your draw power, hell dude becomes Nigerian when fight is getting close, which i find ridiculous, GSP had boring fights, but he was great person, so you do not necessary need to be ko machine and smack talker, personally i think every division needs like 2 sort of bad guys, if everyone started to be the same , ppl quickly would get bored of that

More world class strikers with a bad attitude? Sign me up.. I mean sign my gf up..

only when they can back up the trash talk. as soon as you start losing, its annoying

Conor brought so much attention to the UFC and MMA by being hotheaded and flamboyant and great at trash talking, but on the flip side he demanded more than other fighters because he realized his money’s worth! Do u think the UFC advocate this kind of action or are they worried that fighters would have more say if more fighters did just that?
It's a good question but for different reasons. Dana has showed a pattern of trying to suppress fighters personalities. He shit's on gimmicks and tries to down play certain fighters OTT behaviour.

And to your point, he wants successful events, but he doesn't want to deal with potential diva behaviour. Conor and now Jon Jones have given Dana the run around. It's a double edged sword.

He want's all the PPV receipts of Conor, with he behaviour of Demetrius Johnson, but that just isn't going to happen. Closet thing he's got to that is Stylebender, but let's see how long it takes before Izzy starts playing the diva too.

Well, Conor is like a once in a generation entertainer, personality, shit-talker. He genuinely understands humor but gets carried away when under the influence of things. Most fighters will just end up at Colby level of fame doing that.

I was thinking if Stipe would learn something from Conor and starts promoting because even I’m losing interest in the UFC!
<BidenShutIt>
god how pathetic

"i rather this guy emulate someone else cos i only am interested in one fighter"

Stop being a fuckin casual

Didn’t a drunk Reebok rep try to tell fighters to be more like Conor at the fighter retreat?

They need to bring those retreats back. There was so much fodder for Sherdog when that happened. Kobe guest speaking, Kajun going on a fighters union rant, drunk reebok rep.

Dana wants finishers who are willing to fight anytime for a meh paycheck.

The UFC is far more interested in promoting the brand than they are individual fighters.

I don’t think the UFC cares what an individual fighter does so long as they say yes to the fights they give them.

This. There's been fighters who also pushed the sport's popularity by being "nice". GSP comes to mind, and they promoted him in that light. If Wonderboy can be more successful, he'd be a good face of the company to have too.

Granted, though, it's easier to catch attention in the fighting business if you're trash talking and if you're a bit of a dick. It kinda is par for the course.
