I think he could. I think JDS matches up well with Werdum. He won't get taken down by Werdum and he won't shoot for a takedown like Cain did. I don't know if Werdum could hurt JDS standing, especially if he fights the way he did against Rothwell. Cain is a much harder match-up for JDS, but JDS can always land that one shot KO it just isn't as likely to happen since Cain already knows this very well

A few weeks ago you would have gotten lots of scoffs my friend but JDS looked great I. His last outing. I've always been a fan and if he can keep his conditioning and mind right I see JDS making one more run!

I think he can, yes. He can beat Cain too, and I don't give a fuck what anyone says. Cain leaves himself far too fucking wide open. Not saying it will happen, but definitely not impossible.

JDS is a bad style for Werdum. I can easily see JDS knocking Werdum out again. Werdums stand up is stiff and slow, yes its improved a lot but still too slow for JDS. he is nearly 40 years old too. I would bet heavily on JDS if they have a rematch

I think it's one of those match up things where Cain beats JDS 7 out of 10 times, JDS beats Werdum 3 out of 5 times and Werdum beats Cain 7 out of 10 times.

One thing I really liked about the Rothwell fight is JDS was super conscious about never allowing his back to touch the cage. That's a huge improvement from the Cain fights.
If he uses his footwork like that, especially against the slow and sloppy Cain we saw in the Werdum fight, he can beat him. I always thought despite the Cain losses, he was still a bad match for Werdum on paper. Werdum has improved greatly but still not to JDS' level.

before his last win, no one had his back, now, some people will back him - i always would have given him a good chance bc i wasnt screaming at the top of my lungs that he was done and shot etc.

He has a shot. I think he always has. He's just at the point in his career where he has to come up with a good gameplan and fight smart. That might lead to some shertards calling him boring. But sometimes that is what is required to win.
