Triad is embedded all around the world. But in the last 10 years the Triads appear to be moving away from Asian countries other than China and looking at extending their influence in the West.

Apparently they have been in the west for years. According to a wives tale, they killed Brandon Lee by putting a bullet in a prop gun as revenge for his father Bruce who escaped China due a fight with the Triads.
