Do the Rule changes effect the game?

With heel hooking to the kidneys in guard and using the clavical for transitions becoming legal in 2017 is this going to change the game or will the effects be limited?

I believe it may cut down on lay and pray and make the ground game more interesting if used more frequently, just wondering how others feel about it?

The most important part will be that 10-8 rounds are supposed to become waaaayyy more common than they used to be.

It'll give judges more bias to give 10-8 rounds easier. Fans will have to learn where the new line is even though judges will never stick to a universal line.

in a 12 round boxing fight a 10 -8 can be overcome.. If you get a 10-8 in MMA pretty much can't win a points decision.
