So last night at work i had to test drive a truck with a load on it, which was close to 80,000lbs (im a Truck/Diesel Mechanic), so im trying to merge onto the highway and im so close to having no room left to merge and no one is letting me in, just as i have enough room i sqeeze in and this guy comes up beside me and flips me off and then cuts me right off litterly about a foot in front of me and keeps tapping on his brakes to force me to slow down, i layed the air horn on and he was still being a dick, i had my signal on the whole time trying to merge as well. Fuck i wanted to smash into him so badly.

your thread reminds me of why i decided to stop driving.

that's the kind of stress i don't need.

Yeah i know, i hate it when i have to test drive a truck with a load, ppl are fucking stupid, even without a load on the truck, the truck will severly fuck you up. The worst is when your getting onto the highway and the guy behind you decides to jump on into the lane and try passing you as your trying to merge. Just give the truck driver a few fucking seconds and then u can pass

Do you live in a city with good public transportation? How do you do anything without driving?

Yea the majority of people dont have common courtesy when they drive. I love trucks by the way. I'll never own a car again in my life.

Yeah. When a guy can just slow down to let you in the either speed up or maintian speed to fuck you up then they flip you off after you got in. I hate those types. Why do people do that? Anyone who has ever sped up or maintained speed to fuck with people, why do you people do this? I don't understand why you refuse to let people in the lane.

I spend a a few hours a day on the highway. I was driving in the slow lane the other day and a semi was a few feet behind me being a complete douche trying to get me to move into the center lane. There was no traffic in the center lane an he easily could have passed but he wanted to push the little car around. Well I refuse to move and just went my merry old way, an airhorn blast was instantly met with a quick brake and acceleration to avoid any accident but plenty to scare the bejesus out of him. After that he left me alone.

Where i live all the Trucks are set to only go up to 100-105 km/h which is 60mph so ussually here all trucks just stay in the slow lane which is nice.

I live in the oil boom in North Dakota and it exactly the opposite, you get the fuck outta the way of the trucks or they'll run you in the ditch. About 9 months ago I got rear ended by a truck when I was doing 25 (speed limit through town) and the highway patrol figured he was doing 45+, he stuck he in the ditch sideways and I damn near rolled it.
On top of it a lot of the drivers have never drove in snow or ice before, so it gets interesting when it storms.

Believe it or not, it is possible to live without driving. I haven't driven in 3 years due to a medical condition... It sucked, especially at first, but you just gotta deal, there are plenty of ways to make it work.

"Nobody would let me on the highway and I was about to run out of room so instead of slowing down to wait for room I decided to cut a guy off and he cut me off and flipped me off so I blasted an air horn but for some reason my obnoxiously loud horn blaring didn't turn him into a nice guy."

How is it that everybody is the innocent guy when it's them behind the wheel? That guy probably posted on his favorite forum about the truck driver who was being a dick merged dangerously and was blasting his air horn because his manhood was damaged by a middle finger.

Remember kids, the first rule of driving is that it's always the other guy's fault.

On a side note, since we're talking about trucks and highways, I wish those guys would stay out of the passing lane. It's so awesome when a truck doing 50 tries to pass another truck doing 50 and doesn't accelerate even 1 mph when he switches to the passing lane. "I'll go 50 and pass this guy going 50 because going the same speed as me is too slow."
