Do judges listen to broadcasts?

There's a few people who assert that the judges are swayed by commentary during the broadcast, as though they're listening to Joe and Goldy.

I don't know if they do listen in. But it makes more sense to me that they're specifically disallowed to do this.
I'd like to get that established- is there any reason to suppose that commentary influences the judging?

Even if they don't, they're exposed to crowd reaction, too.

Judges dont watch tv screens they watch the action in the cage
Or sometimes check their text messages during the fight

I don't know if they can hear Rogan or Goldy. But i do think judges are swayed by the crowd.

I want to put it to rest. I don't think they're allowed to listen to the fight commentary.

As for being influenced by crowd reaction, it's hardly possible to separate the spectators from the spectator sport.

They've also began showing the immediate Fight Metric results on the big screens in arenas between rounds.

Yeah, and those can be hit or miss--it's not uncommon for the stats to be changed in the following days after further analysis. When CompuStrike or w/e was competing with FightMetric, they'd often have different stats.

As well, the judges are sitting at floor level watching the fight. They have small monitors to look at as well, but they surely miss a lot in the moment.

They scored cards strictly by what Goldie says.

They should, otherwise they won't know about a fighter's K-1 level striking, punches in bunches, teeps, and endless gas tanks. This data is critical knowledge when it comes to judging a fight correctly. If you don't know what Joe Rogan thinks and feels, then you don't have the proper perspective with which one can truly judge such universal struggles.

They hear crown reactions, and see all stats brought up on the big screen.

They might as well hear the Rogan as well... might actually help our current situation

i once saw a thread where the TS accused Rogan of helping a fighter, because Rogan was saying "that hold is a blahblahblah and so-and-so should do such-and-such next to counter it" and then the fighter did the counter. TS thought he overheard Rogan.

i would say "judges are influenced by Rogan" falls under the same umbrella of stupidity.

This is something I do not like.

A judge can think that they got it wrong in the first round and compensate for it in the next regardless of the actual score. Not to mention, those Fight Metric scores are often extremely inaccurate on first showing let alone the subsequent ones.

Ive also wondered about this. But logically speaking, Id say no way. The commentators can sway their decision, they need to be as impartial as possible.

The judges sit cageside at different positions around the cage. Rogan & Goldberg also sit cageside. There's a good chance at least 1-2 judges are within earshot of them, especially when Rogan starts screaming into the mic. One would hope that the judges do not allow themselves to be influenced by anything that they from the commentary team (or the crowd, or fighters' corners) but you never know with these judges.
