I've read all of Dostoevsky's major works and a few from his formative period before he was arrested. Not much Balzac beyond Droll Stories, but I'll get to him someday. Stuff like that and the Bukowski you mentioned isn't something you expect from MMA fans, so I appreciate it!

Idk what you're talking about most of the time, same as anyone else, but I for sure care. I can factually relate why my life is better bc this place exists at all, something most here would read and blow off as hyperbole, but I'm actually still alive at all bc people here offered help during dire times, while I wasn't even looking for it, and my prison bid went pretty smoothly bc I got more love from people here than I did from all of the people I've known face to face irl.

One even more important question arises from this: what the hell would be an unjustified death stink ?!
Other than that, I have some first hand knowledge, although limited (thank god).

There's one early stage when sphincters get loose, and then the cadaver empties itself.
Nothing more terrifying AND hilarious that having a deceased person give you a heart attack by loudly farting while you're in the room, preparing him for the family to see (just early, very practical stuff, like holding the cadaver mouth shut before rigor mortis happens, cleaning him, dressing him...we obviously don't do the embalming stuff ourselves).
This early emptying smells like... well the same as when someone voluntarily empties himself.

Other than that, lonely people who die at home alas often go through the rotting, insects, etc phase before the smells gets so strong that the neighbours alert the authorities. I don't know that smell, but an human body is a LOT of food for bacteria.

Another thing is the smell of cancer, especially pulmonary cancer. It just smells like fucking death, no other way to say it.

That's actually incredibly interesting. Of course in an awful macabre way.

Anyway, will do! About to enjoy a nice appetizing dinner now, so I'm sure I won't be thinking about rotting dead cancerous sphincters.

You do know that that's my best friend I've ever had on this place's 's's avatar J-Garden. We almost lived together after a blood hatred of super smart guys trying to out smart one another. I hope he's still alive. I'd pay anyone $100.00 (yeah big bucks) to get me in contact with Jeffrey Garden in Scotland, ...the one.

I actually read the whole thread (and a bunch of the other ones, when they pop), and what is happening is quite clear to me.
DMF is obviously not doing well at all, and he's definitely not trolling. It may have been slightly amusing if it was a one-time drunk performance, but it's not.
I don't want to be harsh, but it looks like those threads are only tolerated because of some kind of compassion, or pity, but is it the appropriate thing to do, just looking away ?
Not expecting him to be able to follow the most basic forum rules is like saying he's just a lost cause, which I find kinda cynical.

I know for a fact you can't help anyone against his will,but those threads are concerning to say the least.

It's also frustrating, because the gibberish he uses prevents any discussion from happening, while I'm sure a lot of people would be eager to at least try to listen and talk a bit.

But we can't even have that, it's just a big mess.
