Sorry for a stupid question and yes Im being al ittle sarcastic but wtf ..
and whenever I post workout questions in the strength subforum I never get answers

Is there something wrong with eating before lifting? Or lifting between meals in the afternoon? Like after lunch
but before dinner?

A couple people at my gym insist that you should always lift or
workout in a fasted state first thing in the morning?!

What if I wanna lift after breakfast or after lunch or after I had a meal? If im not bloated and have energy... Is something wrong with this?

They made it sound like it was bad for my heart or something if I have food in my stomach when I lift lol..

No... But try it and see how you like it.

So much "bro science" out there. After 30 years of training I've realized one needs to find the program that suits THEIR needs.

Don't accept conventional wisdom.

I'm on the Carnivore diet and love it. According to widely accepted dogma...I should be suffering and getting sick, but I've never felt or performed better.

I love this term fasted cardio

oh you mean working out first thing in the morning?

turns out I've been doing fasted cardio since before it was cool.

You will be fine. Humans aren't designed to fall apart that easily.

All the meal timing stuff you've ever read makes very little difference unless you're on gear.

exactly... the widely accepted, and laughably ignorant, dogma is that you'll start to atrophy at warp speed if you don't eat every 2 hours or instantly post work-out. Thanks bro scientists and unscrupulous supplement companies.

I do 2 meals a day of fatty steak and lots of eggs or a carnivore approach - lots of fatty red meat, no veges or fruits and maybe a protein shake in lots of heavy whipping cream. Love it and it makes you feel amazing.

Whichever gives you the better workout.
I have recently tried working out without eating first and have been getting in the best workouts of my life. Lets me go much longer and I have more energy. Kind of goes against everything I learned..

Lifting weights: eat at least a little something beforehand so you don”t crash.
Cardio: go empty stomach, as having food and stuff slosh around your belly while you jump around can be off-putting.

Side note: I’m not a nutritionist, but I did once have sex with a hooker at a Holiday Inn.

Make sure you get enough nutrients for the day.

Make sure you get enough training for health and your goals.

Make sure you get enough rest.

It doesn't have to get more complicated than that.

so it has nothing to do with being fast?
because I always try to be done in 45min or less.

So your arteries are doing some heavy lifting too ehh. Love me a juicy rib eye medium rare (still moo'ing).

The differences are marginal. It's good to have glucose available to burn during a workout tho.
