Do Hispanic fighters all have great cardio?

Uhhhh....

Have to check tape on Gilbert Aldana too.

Being of Mexican descent I can honestly say it's because of all the sleep we get.

Something I noticed today.

Cain Velasquez (Sea Level)
Diego Sanchez
Dominick Cruz
Nate Diaz
Nick Diaz
Eddie Alvarez
Gilbert Melendez
Anthony Pettis
etc.

I can't think of any Hispanic / Mexican fighter with bad cardio. Is it something to do with their genetic makeup? Serious question.

I heard from a friend that Native Americans were hired to build skyscrapers because something in their genetic makeup makes them immune to vertigo, as well as a limitless gas tank.

Thoughts?

You might have something there. I remember back when I was in middle school, many of the mile run records were held by hispanic kids: Mexicans, Argentinians, Peruvians, Cubans, Colombians, etc. Many of these kids were in my class, and overall, they were ok when it comes to playing sports, but they got insane cardio.

He said " black" people have atheletism. What is a black person? Are we talking about a African like Sokoudjou or Kongo? An African American like Rampage, Evans, or Rumble? Or a West Indian like Uriah Hall or OSP?

But you're right I should have said Anglo, Latin, or Slavic. That would have been technically sounder but I didn't see you raise any eyebrows when he said black so I thought it was OK.

Using terms like black, white, brown etc.. are not useful in any sense.

as a hispanic myself it has more to do with the culture if u don't have a good work ethic and ur hands aren't decent ur seeing as a pussy and a disgrace to ur country

I completely agree with you but the terms black, white, brown, yellow, red are part of the vernacular (American English) terminology. I just like speaking and having everyone understand what I'm saying.

Did you see how bad Cain gassed in his last fight? Also, Glibly was on roids and looked like he was going to die of exhaustion in his last fight.

Hispanic fighters generally have good cardio, lots of heart, good chins, and a lot of aggression.

Just like black fighters often have superior athleticism, rhythm, and defensive abilities.

Call it stereotyping if you must but it's been that way for about a century of boxing before the UFC even existed.

There is a "prototypical" Mexican fighter and people like the Diaz Bros or Sanchez fit it to a T.

Of course not every Hispanic has a great chin and not every black dude is a super-athlete, but you get my point.

By hispanic you mean Mexican right? Because i dont think Lombard is known for his cardio.

Hispanic fighters are some of the best boxers in the sports rich history.

Hispanics are just breaking into mma give it a few more years and they will more than likely dominate the sport.

As for some of those replies never mind those idiots those are some of the same closet racist rooting for trash like Trump.

Most hispanic talent goes to boxing, i doubt MMA will become big outside of the hispanic-american community.

well if we just focus on Mexican DNA. generations at high altitude. history of marijuana and high altitude long distance running. generations of warfare and blood thirsty sporting events in Aztec history.so yeah Mexicans kind of have an advantage. but i think Mexican fighters just have that crazy work ethic.

Actually people have focused on the mexican DNA and found out they are one of the most mixed and genetically diverse people on earth, meaning that mexican race is even less relevant than an american race, a mexican can be anything.

Kenyans marathon runners say it is...

You mean the Kalenjin who make like 10% of the population of Kenya yet hold 40% of all world titles?

Race is not a good predictor because there is a lot of variaton within races, a lot of blacks in the western hemisphere arent even pure blacks, they are mixed, most African Americans are about 30% white, you got a lot of mulattos also holding records, so its not because they are black.
