Do fighters who come out of the UFC performance institute (Ngannou) get worse?

Is it just me or did Ngannou look worse to me than in his previous fights, or is Stipe just glorious?
Much less of a gas tank, and looking to me like he has gyno and bloated. He reminded me very much like Conor McGregor, once he got really taken by the UFC marketing machine and started being trained by them in the UFC performance institute.

I have almost this feeling that, under the guise of putting their "promoted" fighters in the best program, the UFC just does stuff which isnt necessarily improving them (despite the "science" on paper saying it does).
It seems to me fighters like Conor and Ngannou lose their grit going through that training program.

I mean of course the basic explanation is that Stipe was just on another level. Which is absolutely true (!!) but still to me Ngannou did not look like the old predator in there.

In any case Im happy to see a UFC promoted hype get demolished (although I really like Ngannou, as a European).

Since when did Conor train his whole camp in the performance institute? Seems like youre reaching here.

Ngannou looked as he always did, he just blew out his wad. He was more wild but thats understandable because of the pressure.

As for the gyno and bloated thing, thats your imagination. He looks the same as he always did. Again, you're reaching.

People still can't see the difference between the lower pecs and gyno.

Niiiiice

I'll be honest I was expecting him to demolish Stipe so bad, I almost can't believe what happened here.

He got exposed against the only guy he's ever fought who was capable of exposing him. Simple as that. Also, I'm pretty sure he was training there for Reem as well, if not earlier. If Reem had a chin (and perhaps better composure), he could have done the same thing, albeit with more striking and less grappling than Stipe.

I don't think you can strike with Ngannou. Even after being barely able to stand at the end of the 5th round he was still throwing bombs that would KO anyone.

There was nothing wrong with his gas tank, he got taken down and dominated, that is exhausting at heavyweight

Hype train, derailed!!! HAHAHAHAHA

Said Stipe would win from the get go.

He was there for the Reem fight too. His only shot in hell was landing something big early. Instead Stipe made him miss a lot then took him down.

Stipe is the record holder for a reason. He has really good boxing and great wresting but it's his intelligence that sets him apart. He has learned to be the best and has become the ultimate fighter by doing so.

I think the UFC performance institute is great,
but i believe the cardio wing was closed the past few months...

Ngannou doesn't have the skills to fight Stipe.

People talk about the evolution of MMA but the guys of 10 years ago were on the whole more skilled than the guys today at Heavyweight.

Sijara Eubanks went from being scheduled a title fight to possibly never fight for a title again. She was at the Performance Institute for like a week prior to her fight and still couldn’t make the weight and was hospitalized.

I mean, the Performance Institute is some next level Matrix shit but you still have to cut weight by yourself.

But they should have seen she wasn’t on track to make the weight and tried to correct it. Who knows, maybe they did and maybe they let her do it on her own.
