Saw the devastating groin shot for the bellator dude. Agonizing.

Does the Muay Thai cup fighters wear offer any real protection?

I wore a cup back when I played cricket and it did it's job well. but, would be different to what fighters use ofc.

Of course they do. Imagine a low blow without one.

NOPE. You see Courtney Casey's nipple last night? Completely exposed.

The Thai cup does not offer much padding like a cup you use for cricket and yes it does hurt if you get hit.......

yes it does hurt but its not the balls that hurt its the knob that takes the cup shock, so wearing jocks under the cup could save some of the shock the knob could incur

I have worn cups in boxing.
They work pretty good.

I don't know exactly what kind of cup they wear in mma.

As opposed to having a testicle or urethra rupture? Yeah I'd say they help.

Bunch of nerves in the groin area. Kicking the cup and pushing the cup in the groin hurts a lot as well.

Sergei ended up with a bad hemorrhoid, TS. And probably sore balls, too be sure, but the cup did its job.

Depend hard cup or soft cup.

Hard cup big time but fucks up mobility. Soft lessor but better than nothing.

It's kinda like wearing a seat belt or not and hitting a wall at 60 MPH. All painfull just degrees.

no seat belt you probably die (no cup)
Lap belt probably missing some teeth on steering-wheel. (soft cup)
lap and should-belt broken collar bone. (hard cup)

I’m pretty sure they can’t wear Thai cups which are metal and cover more area. They are shaped more like a triangle and go more on top of everything rather than the plastic ones that go in between your thighs at the bottom. Not positive but pretty sure I read that and if you don’t know who Sergei is you shold watch his fights in pride he was rediculously good back then and fun to watch

It stops your testicles from being shattered but your nutsack can still get pinched in there......owwwwwwwwwww

The cup is only really designed to stop your nuts from being ruptured by someone's knee or shin, it's not going to stop the pain......... The problem is when it comes out of position or the strike is at a strange angle which actually causes the cup to cause the damage......it's not perfect

It works. Especially in Cricket. Dude did a bouncer once and I wasn't wearing one and vomitted for 45 minutes and couldn't walk. Been hit with one and was down for 15.

I buy the biggest one on amazon and wear it upside down. Balls fit better and if you get the random flag pole, it rides up the curve

Not from this guy
