No. But they have the most utterly delusional fan bases in existence. Same as in boxing. A mediocre fighter like Frank Bruno was a national hero.

It’s like that in all british sports. The media coverage for the World Cup and their arrogance and bias for example of the English football team or rugby team is laughable.
