Media Do any fighters use this Uechi-Ryu hand conditioning? is it effective form of training?

I wonder if Tony Ferguson or Conor McGregor have tried this technique before?
 
Improving your grip strength is a thing but I'm not sure about the thigh groping
 
Yes, I don't use the pots though I just use weights. Also that old man has my goal physique for when I'm a senior citizen

Be careful once your grip fails and those weights fall on your feet its painful. I used to do some grip training and pinch grips are the worst very hard to do and dangerous I was pinching plants and it dropped on my toe and it was purple.

Also I don't know about mma fighters but I know ggg does a lot of grip training

Grip strength accounts for a much greater deal of overall man strength than most people realize. That's why guys like Askren are so stronger than they look.

Tyron's grip strength saved him a lot when Rory was on top of him trying to pound him out and Woodley was able to hold his hands from punching him several times.
