Two guys who spent a large if not majority portion of their prime focused solely on striking.

I see a lot of "Prime Silva would of" comments. And in my head I'm like, cmon wake up. Anderson is the 185 GOAT.
No question.

But as primarily a striker himself, he could not have beaten the 2 aforementioned.

And for those who want to point to the Izzy vs. Old Silva as a moral victory, let me shut that down by saying this.

We can't know If Israel was taking easy on him, but we know what Israel is capable of. What we do know is that Silva posed absolutely zero threat in that fight.
And we also know that Israel is fine cruising to a desicion.

Alex? A harder stylistic match-up for him, but prime Anderson had a significantly better chin and more power than Izzy, who just put Pereira to sleep.

Nobody moves like prime Anderson did. Nobody. You couldn't land cleanly on him because he always knew how to roll with it or dodge it completely, and his timing and accuracy were flawless. A simple counter jab between dodging power shots was all it took to put people down sometimes.

I will say I disagree with those saying Anderson finishes both in 2 rounds - he almost always threw away the first 3-4 minutes just throwing feints and getting the timing down, so maybe 2 rounds each since most of the first round would be gone before he throws anything serious. But neither guy is seeing round 3.

He had a good chin and he doesn’t need to be fast, he’s much bigger, stronger and a good wrestler. Forrest had that dog in him and was a 230 pound LHW. We saw what happened to Izzy when he went to LHW. Anderson crushed LHW’s because he’s the best ever. Israel is not on his level.
