And JUST LIKE THAT, the people who didn't give two shits whether or not the Russians had actually hacked Clinton's email server are acting thoroughly outraged that Trump suggested the Russians should release those emails.

Isn't this a catch-22? If there's truly nothing to see here and Hillary didn't deserve indictment, like you guys have said for months now, then the Russians can't release anything new. However, if the Russians really are leaking all this stuff, isn't that proof that you were full of shit all along? That your candidate put national security at risk for selfish personal reasons?

And that's who you want in office?

You guys have zero credibility here.

You're so desperate to make this about Trump that you're completely overlooking the fact that Hillary is the real culprit.

You are seeing them the way you want to see them.

This is way more than poorly chose words. At a minimum this shows affinity for an authoritarian dictator which should send every american patriot running for the hills.

As for the emails, it won't matter to you guys. If there is evidence of wrong-doing you will be satisfied and if not you will be convinced of some cover up and proclaim her guilty anyway.

I already put his words into context the way that I see them. You see them the way that you want to.

Did he choose his words poorly and give his opponents ammunition? Yes

It belongs in this thread because that's the spin. The DNC and Hillary are deflecting by claiming that the real story is how Putin is trying to ruin our elections, which is silly.

The question is as valid as why doesn't Hillary release her wallstreet transcripts.

In Bizarro world.......

Who is Joe Wilson?

Who is Edward Snowden?

Is Trump getting help from Russia?

In the real world........

Were we lied to about WMD?

Is the NSA in violation of the US constitution?

Did the DNC take millions of dollars from general coffers, and use accounting fraud to fund Clinton's campaign?

i try to and I am disgusted. I either vote and give Hildo a pass on all that shit her and the dnc did or I give trump the nod not because I think he has the best policy but because he isnt Hildo ?

You were asking about people white knighting and giving Hilary a pass and i was saying that that is the choice we have been given
3rd party is a thing too. I voted Jill in 2012 before it was cool to vote for a woman president.

Trump is such a bafoon. Instead of people talking about what's in the leaks now he's making it about himself. Any sensible political strategist would quit.

Not really with the way the presidential election is set up. Any truly legit 3rd party likely means no one gets to 270 and the House decides who is President.

It isn't, until it is right?

If both parties aren't singing their death song right now, then we are in deep shit. If we are so brain washed, that people will actually vote for 2 candidates with 30% approval ratings, then........

We will see if there is classified information or not if they have and release the emails. Hoping a foreign adversary uses espionage to influence our elections isn't much better, is it?

What's worse, to put yourself in a position where classified emails are hacked while serving your own interests, or to ask foreign governments to publish those emails to serve your own interests?

The entire debacle is why countries actually "hate you for your freedoms". Your two party duopoly and the general electoral process is a travesty.

The wording was fine, the content is what gave his opponents ammunition. The scary part is people are defending the indefensible.

Then don't vote. I think not voting is making a statement too, not a productive statemet but if you think the system is broken and you are only being offered more broken ideas, than staying home is a legitimate stance. Many would disagree.

To purposely root against America is worse than having your email hacked due to carelessness.

Not voting sends the message that what you care about doesn't matter because you don't vote anyway.

Someone is going to win either way. Not voting is just saying "let people who care more decide." That's how we end up with policy that people don't agree with.

Yep. The people who stay home--the poor--are the people who are most neglected when it comes to policy. And then people complain about that and use it as a reason to stay home, which only worsens the problem.
