DNC Leaked emails Thread: Wasserman steps down; hired by Hillary campaign

Ah, in that case I take my joke back. It's quite possible that Russian hackers could have done it, there is no love lost between Hillary and Putin. Then again, she has enemies all over the world and at home. Any one of them could have financed this. Would like to see a bit more evidence before I condemn anyone in specific.

I don't think Putin has an anti-Hillary agenda as much as pro-Trump one. Look at the only platform issue he wanted to fight about, and his financial connections.

You gotta admit though, this is not a good look. The Democrats seem to be on the losing end of a lot of intelligence attacks lately.

I think that national committee communication is pretty irrelevant anyway. Not like a super top secret thing.

That's a pretty weird statement given that I almost never post in the war room. Funny enough, it describes you to T.

Really? I'm pretty sure my problem is the opposite--that I engage too much with people who are beneath me. You do spin and run from points you can't respond to, as you've done in this thread.

Besides, your point is stupid as shit and doesn't warrant a response.

And there you go again. So it doesn't bother you that a foreign gov't hacked into a party's communications in order to influence an American presidential election? Or is it that anything that you see as helping your party doesn't bother you? I can guarantee I'd still be denouncing it if the party's were reversed.

The emails are real. What they show is real. The public has received an insight into the DNC and the elect Hillary machine. If you think it was a plot to harm Hillary then it follows that The revelations must show something shitty about their approach to democracy. Something you in your mealy mouthed shilliciousness have tried to deny.

Nah. The emails are real. Just seem like a yawner. Party officials were annoyed about being accused of being biased and seemed to like Clinton more. Despite the spin, that's not really a story. Putin's actions and connection to Trump are a big story, though the mainstream media has to figure out how to do a bothsides angle before they can really communicate that. Maybe Clinton has shaken hands with Putin at some time?

Bernie acting like this doesn't bother him.

Good boy, Bernie. Here's a treat.

It's funny how it's always people who oppose Bernie's agenda who want him to be upset. Almost like it's not totally sincere.

If the revelations are legitimate then the American public is better for them - regardless of who did the hacking. I'll throw you a bone though. We would be better off still if there was a separate GOP hacking that showed us all how they sought to influence their own primary. Name your preferred hostile government - you get to choose.

DNC needs to discipline itself, but there needs to be a serious investigation into Trump's finances and ties to Russia. This is a pretty huge deal.

Actually, I think his phony support for Hillary is going to hurt them even more. By all means Bernie, continue being a lap dog.

What revelations do you even see there?

And there are two issues: whatever is in the emails, which again seem like nothing much to me (the Russians hope that it will sow discord between Sanders and Clinton camps--I don't see any reason to think that regular people would be upset); and the fact that Putin is using highly unethical tactics to influence the U.S. election (and generally, the disturbing connection between Trump and Putin).

Russia is the hostile gov't I was referring to, and it would be similarly irrelevant. We know that Trump wasn't the preferred choice of party leaders or donors from the start. So? He still won. Now they're behind him, even though he's dangerously ignorant and incompetent.

Actually, I think his phony support for Hillary is going to hurt them even more. By all means Bernie, continue being a lap dog.

Bernie and Clinton voted together more than 90% of the time they were both in the Senate. They agreed on most issues this year. He had a major influence in the crafting of the platform. You might disagree with him, but there's no reason to think that his support is not sincere.

I would have loved to see the email that told Rubio to insinuate Trump had a small dick.

I thought a lot of the Republicans were downright clownish in ways they went after Trump, but by the looks of that Craigslist ad, Democrats were not any better. I don't even wanna know how much those people make.

All of us here could talk way better shit than that.

On Manafort, also a Putin guy: (this one's a long read though)

We've already seen the spin job. The whole thing was a plot by Putin to help Trump. I shit you not, that's actually what they're saying. No sooner did the DNC hatch that moronic response than forums started getting flooded with posters repeating it. Seen it on multiple sites and it's just a matter of time before you see it in this thread too.
Oh joy, weather report says to expect a large smokescreen rolling in from the West (left, har har).

Maybe JVS would be kind enough to shed some personal insight...

Oh please Assange I have never asked you for anything before, but this would undoubtedly make me laugh harder than a diamond!

He just had all of his accusations proven true, and you're gonna tell me he's not pissed about it, and is totally sincere in his support for a candidate that clearly railroaded him?

Sure, sure...

What accusations were proven true? Just that Democratic workers didn't like his fans? I don't even remember that accusation being made, and if it were, it would hardly require Russian hackers to prove.

Maybe JVS would be kind enough to shed some personal insight...

So after your spin job was exposed, you're just falling into sniping, petty personal attacks. I bet your parents are really proud of you.

Lol, there's that projection again. I predict you'll call me thin skinned next

What's up, Jack? Hey man, I don't post in the WR like I used to and mostly lurk and like when necessary, but I'm familiar enough with the subforum since a ways back, and I super respect both your commitment to replying to people and sounding diplomatic and cool headed, as well as your willingness to share so much knowledge and stick with your beliefs, and I still do, although I was/am a Bernie bro and I definitely split ways with you on that/your support (though tempered with acknowledging her weaknesses).

But I just gotta jump in here and warn you that your ending statement in this post makes you sound a little hot under the collar and sweating the fallout from this email leak, and unfortunately, a little "straw-graspy" in a way that rip gets when he's cornered.

I expect nothing but bigger headlines to come out of analysis of the content of these emails, but just so there's no sour grapes, I'll be glad to hear your take on the unfoldings the whole way, even if I think sometimes your schill is showing.

Again, I don't think you know what projection means. I don't do that. I come head on and address issues directly. Find where I did anything like your petty sniping.

You're referring to this:

"Nah. The emails are real. Just seem like a yawner. Party officials were annoyed about being accused of being biased and seemed to like Clinton more. Despite the spin, that's not really a story. I guess I need some more direct comments to make sense of your reaction.

I expect nothing but bigger headlines to come out of analysis of the content of these emails, but just so there's no sour grapes, I'll be glad to hear your take on the unfoldings the whole way, even if I think sometimes your schill is showing.

What bigger headlines do you expect? Seems to me that it's a simple matter of Putin trying to stir shit up with Bernie, maybe get the kind of speech out of him that Cruz gave. I don't expect it to succeed because Bernie himself has always been more policy-focused than his fans, and that will be that. I think Putin fucked up here, actually (by showing his hand too soon).

Doesn't get much more petty than that.
