There's a scene in the movie where there is a "mandingo" fight between two slaves, and they appear to be using the guard, the mount, a sweep, and some sort of kimura (the camera angle wasn't good enough to see it well), I think he was also going to go for an armbar but changed his mind.

That was interesting. I was like hey, that's fucking MMA, what the hell they didn't have moves like that back then!! Or at least, they weren't training slaves in Jitz.

There was a pankrition statue in the background too at some point in the movie. I think there were a couple of them hanging around.

I think QT likes MMA!!!
