Is there a way to "hide" my postcount as one would hide their location? Seems some folks like to disrupt a good conversation with mundane remarks about the post count. If not, i'd like to humbly suggest that you fine folks give the issue some thought. Thanks in advance.

Nope, your postcount is always visible, and some asshole will always be there to say something about it in the event of a disagreement.
