Darnold crapped the bed two times in a row
Darnold had a couple sacks that were his fault, the oline also turned into a turnstile. Its comical to think a kid with 0 experience would do better in the same situation, let alone even get them that far. Darnold had a tremendous season.

A kid with national championship experience...

anyway the only real competition I see is the eagles and commanders..

A national championship in which he threw the ball 18 times for 140 yards and 55% completion….?

I like McCarthy fine as a prospect but holy shit you are delusional. Rams, Bucs, Packers, Lions all clear them widely until proven otherwise.

Now do his game against Alabama? They don’t win that one without him throwing. And let’s not act like he had stud receivers like some other QBs.

Wow cant even call kiddie diddlers by their names anymore? Smh

Youre right. That one game (which was a very good game), makes him the favorite to be a Super Bowl team in his first year as starter in the NFL and coming off a serious injury.

Not Super Bowl favorite. But I think they’ll still make the playoffs.

Listened to a Packers podcast the other day that rightfully shredded the "Vikings (or any other team) are just a QB away" narrative. Especially in the Viqueers case, they already had a QB who was wildly productive, so they were pretty fucking obviously not just a QB away, another point, JJ will super likely not be as good as Darnold was last year and might never reach that level. They have a good team with a question mark at QB, nothing more, nothing less. Viqueers and Bears fans (except our mans @Croaker of course) can become annoying so fast after experiencing just a tiny bit of success (in the Viqueers case getting shit mixed in the playoffs).

No. You didn’t see me include LT in my post.
My bad, it just seems like you have it out for “Boomer” opinions. I just don’t believe, given your opinionated posts, that when you get to your boomer years, that you wouldn’t correct someone younger if they tried to GOAT a player you know isn’t better.

I feel a lot of modern sports fans put too much stock into modern athletes. Thinking how they play right now would be exactly how they would be back then. Never factoring in the progress made in diet (both athletic and what they were raised on), exercise, and coaching principles didn’t exist then, so all their advantages would be negated. Or conversely, that give an athlete of yesterday all the current modern amenities, that they couldn’t be just as dominant.

For instance, I believe a modernized Jim Brown would absolutely wreck people in the NFL.

Glad my bengals were able to keep their only first round wr imo.
My kid is ecstatic. Too bad their defense is gonna suck. And they still have a questionable head coach. JB and JC make fans forget just how much with their magic.

Given the division thats still a tough ask imo but certainly not unreasonable. I really liked the Mason pick up for them. McCarthy has a damn nice offense waiting for him.
