If they are over the cap now and Top 3 with cap space next year, it probably means (not looking it up lol) that they will lose a ton of players, for better or worse. You could also have bad luck and ultimately get a free agency that looks like this year, pretty shitty overall. I don't think it will happen, the price incl. a new deal would likely be too steep for what he brings to the table (no knock on him at all). Still think the Packers will try to get Davante to come back for 2 years and get one of the day two WRs, at #23 I'd expect them to look for a DT or corner.

But still a ton of moving pieces, every year a few interesting players get cut for cap reasons, I assume trades will happen only after free agency and closer to the draft weekend anyway. First they need to see how FA shakes out, Gute will go pretty aggressively for the few guys he likes.

Also sucks that a lot of players don't work out at the combine anymore. :(

Yes, because DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Geno will be off the books. This just means you keep DK, draft a QB, and put that money towards your rookie QB. It wouldn't surprise me if Seattle doesn't like Howell and drafts a QB this year and let Geno walk. The Packers pick isn't premium, that's why the deal makes zero sense. Any QB in this draft should be a 2nd round grade. If they draft Ewers or Dart (still dont believe the hype train because of my posts) or even Milroe in the 2nd.

I think there is a higher chance of getting Dropvante back than the Seahawks just dumping DK and trying to do a complete rebuild. They have other pillars in place. They are capable of being competitive now.

I turned this on with no sound, so idk what the commentary is saying, but these drills are not meant for Quinn Ewers. These throws are showing arm strength and some anticipation. Ewers best asset is his off platform throws. His arm talent to find ways to get balls to receivers through coverage.

49ers had to get out of that contract. His best days are probably behind him and the 49ers were handing out crazy money because Turdy was making poverty wages.
