I heard yesterday on a podcast his o line was 67th in the league. That’s pretty wild for a dude putting up generational stats.Heres a fun stat: Jeanty was hit behind the LOS 357 times. He gained 1200 yards from those 357 hits. The closest player (documented) in history to that 1200 yards is Jonathan Taylor at 961.
He’s so interesting because his unique talent I think is almost underrated. He just….doesnt fall? His balance is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. He can get smacked by a pretty legit tackle and it’s like it doesn’t really bother him?
It’s not like he runs THROUGH every single defender. He can just get hit and I think he has a low center of gravity and is insanely strong? Because he can just stay on his feet no matter what.
I do think he was under utilized his sr year as a pass catcher. His jr year he was taking a ton of receptions and they just didn’t really do it this year.
I think he has very good agility, change of direction, all that shit. But for me he’s elite in balance, like I have genuinely never seen a guy run like that.
